I like to read and write. I guess we do not consider them as hobbies as most of us read and write. But, I do not have any other specific interests that linger with me till now.
I started blogging in 2007/2008. It was mostly for myself as no-one would read a random blogger website from a stranger. It was like a personal diary posted online. I was certain that no-one would read and I used to write whatever I like. It was also an experiment for me to know if I can write. It has been 12 years and I write a post per year nowadays. Things have changed a lot. I would rather write in a blogging platform like Hive where I do not need to chase my audience (well relative to my unknown blog).
I also like to read a lot. Lately, it has been about bitcoin and economic freedom. I was always interested in sustainable consumption of resources and the potential economic impact. It sounds like a nerdy topic but I think it is really important for the time we are in. I also prefer to read future predictions and big picture technological advancement.
I agree with you on the reading and writing things and I think they could be classed as hobbies, but also are anpart of the person's make-up.
I write a lot, not just on hive, and I find it provides a lot more than the writing itself. The same with reading. I don't think it matters what we read and write if we enjoy it.
Yeah, I agree. I read, write and research for my job and I count those readings to be my job. Reading and writing as part of my hobby are way different than what I do as my job. But, looking back at what I wrote I came across someone who reads and writes at his job and reads and writes again as his hobby. Well, I need to spend more time in photography to avoid spending time reading and writing 🤠☺️
If we enjoy what we do in our spare time, non-professional life, then I think it's fair to say life is a hobby! What say you? 😃
That's a really nice way to put things into perspective. Yes. Life is a hobby and I enjoy my life 😇
That's nice to hear; We all only get one life so I suppose it makes sense to make the most of it.
