Hail to the Hive!
I do love mornings. I am that annoying morning person that non morning people love to hate. The mornings are great and in the dive shop, if it's busy, the buzz is electric with people arriving with that excitement of going on their underwater adventure. I guess i am a little like a vampire and I feed off the energy of having lots of people around happy and excited.
After arriving and parking the trusty beast in the hallway I have all the menial chores like unlocking the rooms.
Compressor room, very important as without it we can’t fill the tanks. It's very much the heartbeat of the dive shop
Filling/tank room. Benjim is nearly always here about the same time as I am. Sometimes a little after my first coffee and other times patiently waiting for me to arrive. I think his wife kicks him out the house early.
Rick ( Mr Shark Repellant) is here 3 times a week and Divemaster Earl takes care of him on those days.

Compressor Man Danny! Looking chirpy first thing in the morning. I do like singing to him “ Oh Danny Boyyyy the tanks the tanks are filling” I’m not sure he gets it but I like it and it always gets a smile out of someone, or a roll of the eyes. Any emotional response will do.
Wow, not had that many bikes out front for a while. When things were busy all the time we did have people come in frequently asking us if we rented bikes. They clearly didn’t read the signage .
And they are away for the 1st dive. I wonder what they will see today?? Turtles maybe, perhaps a whaleshark, no no Ricks on the dive that will never happen. He needs to apply for a job as a Lifeguard on some shark infested Australian beach. Everyone would be safe if Rick was there, not a shark in sight.
Well that was my morning at the dive shop. How was yours?

What a cool look at your shop and your people. I really enjoyed it. I also like that everybody is on a bike. My kind of place!
I've got some time in on compressors and pneumatic tools. We didn't generally have to keep the air as clean as you do. :)
My morning? So far so good it seems. The sun is almost up and Sam and I will be out on the desert shortly.
I'm also that annoying morning person and rub it in the sleepyheads every chance I get...

Neat to see what the rest of the dive shop looks like and your crew. Totally much funkier and cooler looking then i imagined.
Its going to suck not having biggy pauls doing his dive posts in the future. I really enjoyed them.
I'd probably annoy the shit out of everyone in the shop if i worked there. I'd be making up lyrics to songs and singing the whole time too.
Glad to see that it looks a bit busy today.
I have about 2 ok busyish days a week at the moment. Friday is the most normal day. Slowly slowly more people are leaving. Biggy and his missus are the latest to depart. There will be more leaving over the months to come sadly
Thats a shame hang in there. Business is going to turn around in the new year.

yes , we are based in MOALBOAL, in southern Cebu.
I been to Oslob Whale Shark Watching on Jan this year.
Moalboal is around there as I guess , very farmiliar 😊
yup oslob is about 2 and a half hours away on the other coast. We get whaleshrks passing here also from time to time. Always a nice surprise on a dive when the show up
