Good day
Whenever I go to work this is usually my view. I usually park at the University because that's the allotted parking space that they give us as employees of the hospital. I'm still glad as I walk around there are still a lot of trees and plants.
The sun was shining brightly as I was walking to the hospital. It's just so nice to start a day with the sun shining rather than a very gloomy sky.
Every morning, I have to walk all of these steps. It's nice that they are preserving a lot of plants and trees. I couldn't imagine walking through this if everything was concrete. It just feels relaxing as you walk because you don't inhale so much emissions from the cars, though as soon as I reach the top of the stairs. I always have shortness of breath and feel a little tired.
Going up the stairs, this is the view that you can see. Our City is slowly losing it's trees. It's kinda sad to see so much buildings and houses and buildings. I just hope that the mountains that you could see at the background that have a lot of trees won't turn into infrastructure. This is the sad reality that's happening in our City. There are even some illegal loggers who cut trees and there was an instance that a property owner poisoned trees 45 pine trees. They drilled holes to the lower trunk of the tree and put a toxic substance which killed the trees. I think they did that so they can cut it off and build something there. But I'm glad that our Mayor, filed appropriate charges against the people who intentionally killed the trees.
The pine tree is the most abundant tree in our City. Mostly all the places here in Baguio has one. That's why our City is called the City of Pines.
