Ever since I started my journey with homesteading, my life has changed completely. Living in the middle of nature and growing food with my own hands has become something enjoyable and makes me feel its value. But at the same time, homesteading teaches you that everything has its own fatigue, and the most important thing I learned is that water is the secret of life, without it no crop will grow and the land will not give me anything.
At first, I thought the subject was simple, but when I started planting eggplant and garlic, I realized that transferring water to the plants is not easy, especially if the land is a bit large. This is when I discovered the importance of homesteading tools, especially water pumps. A pump for someone working in the land is like a machine for someone driving a car.
I tried more than one type, the manual type that depends on drawing water from a well, which is useful but very tiring. And the electric type, which is convenient, but you must have a constant source of electricity. There are also people who use solar-powered pumps, which is great in places where electricity is weak.
The real difference I felt when I got a good pump was that the time I spent transporting water was much less, and I had more time to focus on the crops themselves. The land was watered evenly, and the crops were better.
Homesteading taught me that the right tools make life easier, and pumps are one of the most important things that anyone thinking of farming should take care of. The journey is still ongoing, I learn something new every day, and I am waiting to see my land grow more and more.
I guess that's dependent on fuel,, right/ It's so dry in Australia where I am right now. We have a dam but it's at the bottom of the property. Luckkky we are on tankwater.
