I love the spiral and I'm excited to see it when the amaranth is growing. Your soil looks very sandy. The opposite of mine which is high in clay.
When you thin it out, can you use the thinned ones like microgreens?
I nearly always wash my seeds away when first planting and just end up smooshing everything back in place again as best I can. 😆 I don't think it bothers them too much. I just go liberal with things and something usually survives to use point. I figure nature does the same, pretty much. 😉
Yes, very sandy here, bit I'm told amaranth is quite happy in this area. I also hear that they are grown as microgreen sometimes.
