Harvesting and New planting of water leaf

in Homesteading4 months ago

I have really enjoyed my self as a young farmer, also want to thank the #homesteading and #hivegarden community for the privilege to learn more and to share our gardening experience, i will never be tired of sharing my experience because it has become my lifestyle. As the day goes by i see myself loving this experience more and more.

this is another big bed, just paid for it, someone bought it earlier but due to some unexpected circumstances, the person decided to sell it out, and because it was near my own bed, so i got it.
By now we have gone far, some of our bed have been harvested in about 6 to 8 times, like i said, we make harvest in two weeks but in some whether condition maybe when we don't have frequent release of rain water into the soil it may take like 3 weeks.

when we want to replant, we will allow the water leaf to stay for about 4 weeks so that the steam will be strong enough for replanting. as you can see in the photos, this is the most hectic part of this gardening exercise. Due to lack of time and also that i can not do it as fast as some persons do, so i have to pay some guys to do the planting, this guy as you can see does it like a machine and also plants them very close to each other.

the reason why we pin them very close is because the more you pin them close the better, when they are grown the advantage is that there will be more harvest than the one spaced while pinning or planting.

As you can see this bed is a big bed, it take 2 persons to finish it in two days but a fast person can finish it in 3 days but the reason why we don't take long days in planting is so that the growth can as well be uniformly and at harvest it will be easy to do so but if its takes 3 to 4 days to plant you will notice at harvest that some part will be due while the other will not be due for harvest.

if you carefully observe in the bed below, you will see that even the 2 days still show how much more when it takes more days. for me, especially now that we have the natural irrigation, if you can finish the bed planting in one day it will be to your own advantage.

this is one of the big beds that i have, it toke about 2 full bags to fully cover the bed and am sure that at harvest we will also be harvesting 2 full bags per time, like i said it depends on the person planting, if you space the pinning it will not be that much when it grows and at harvest you can not have such quantity.

As you can see, work has been done awaiting, now we are waiting for the harvest in the next 2 weeks good enough the rain in the last few days has been doing it work passionately and that is good for this very crops, At this point now we don't have issues with weeding, maybe till the next month though we still have samples of weeds in the bed but that gives no trouble because during harvest it will be attended to. in case you are close by or within my region and you have need of water leaf, just get to the comment box then we can do business together.

thanks so much for always having my back, i really appreciate all who are ever ready to support and give encouragement, its your young famer @emylight, good to have you here, please stay safe and keep hope alive.

Is the gap of the water leaf you're planting not too close to each other because that may not allow them to grow fine.
