Overnight the rest of the parts for the mason bees house finished so yesterday morning I pulled them out to see how well they did. I got a bit of stringing but that was due to the settings being upped to shorten the print time.
An okay amount of rain at .38" added onto an already extra wet month. We are over 200% of normal now.
The lid for the bee house. I had to run electrical tape around the rim of the case so the lid fits tight.
The boys were on a 2 hour late start so I got some dummy wings printed for a classmate of J's. They didn't come out quite as good but I used the same setting as the HSW prints so they are ours and I gave him the nicer ones I printed earlier for her.
My truck was gasping on fumes so I had to run to the gas station mid day.
The creek is blasting with the runoff and the tunnel is over 2 feet deep. There is nearly no ice left in the creek and what is there breaks off really easily and gets instantly washed down stream and melted.
The moss rock is glowing now that the temps are above freezing. Super soft and plush the stuff loves it by the creek.
Our smaller tunnel for the creek had some debris in the way that I pulled out. DAMN COLD WATER! It's snow melt from the side of Mt. Spokane, almost glacial feeling.
Weather was supposed to hit mid day but the shadow pushed it around the region for much of the afternoon.
About the time the boys were getting home from school I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning already.
The honeycomb style prints take FOREVER compared to solid sided. The head has to skip across the edges rather than just running continuous lines. This was a 5+ hour print...
The rain was all over but little hit us for the afternoon.
It wasn't until after 5pm when the real rains hit.
They are getting closer to tournament time and R is looking like he is getting a better handle on things this year.
As I headed out to pick him up the back side of the storm had just passed and was trouncing the border. It moved fast though so hopefully didn't melt too much off too fast.
R is much more self aware now and takes the time he needs if he feels like a cough coming on. Slowly but surely it is going away.
Got out to soak and R was in a bit too long but he needed the soak.
Nicely 40F this morning and nothing but 50sF in the forecast. Possible rain today but doesn't look like much will fall. I have been to town for grain already and will empty it later after I get the boys to school. will check on the creek again after the overnight rain, then I will pack gear for climbing tomorrow.
