3DPrinting, PDC, Heat Tape Wrapping, Utd, Clip, Sorting, Draining, Krash, Whistle - Thursday

After getting the boys to school yesterday morning I had the printer working away and got the first tray pulled about 8:30. I was rather curious how the apple token would come out since it is a game piece for the Farming Game that I found. It's a bit big for the game and could use to be scaled down if we wanted to use them while playing. Or they just represent multiples...

The PDC has started back with the first tournament in Bahrain and only one surprise was Cross losing the first match, otherwise all the ranked players made it through easily.

I was hunting around the farm for the standard pipe insulation but could only find pool noodles. I figured it would be better than nothing so got it wrapped mostly around the pipe. The gap is where the wire is on the front so we will see if I have to do more to keep it thawed. I don't need the line THAT often so in the end if I have to thaw with the heater again it's not too horrible.

PET is not good for the hinges, it refuses to break loose, the PLA is WAY better for the purpose. I FINALLY found a HSW set that fits my wall I made for the printer. I got the shelf printed and it fits perfect.

Man Utd played and it was a typical shit show from them. They were full on devouring their own taints the entire match.

Pretty nifty these two cylinder motor things. 180, 90, 60, and 45 degree angles. From a Boxer to a 2 stroke.

The only player on Man Utd that is worth ANYTHING is Amad. He came on in the 80th and right away scored.

Then minutes later he scored the 2nd goal.

IMG_20250116_135000.jpg

And mere minutes later he got his first ever hat trick and is the only reason they won. The team didn't deserve the joy of the win, only Amad should have given how horrible they played for the whole match.

I had a print going and fucked it up trying to get this piece off the deck before everything was done. REALLY stoked though to FINALLY have this clip useable for my MK3. I had picked this clip up at one point but the base plate was incorrect so it got shoved to the back of the gun case. A push of the spring pin and the old one slid out and the newly printed one slid right in and clicked VERY satisfyingly into the pistol.

Our Thrive order arrived so I had to take a chunk of time to unbox everything. It really is a wonderful thing to have the shelf stable packaging so the fridge isn't packed with just this.

Headed up to pickup the boys after STEM club and noticed the snow line on the trees on the hill is about 500 foot elevation over the farm. It's supposed to get down to 9F Sunday night but still in the low 30s for the day.

Got the glycerin draining which it had mostly done within about 15 minutes but I let it hang overnight to allow the rest to drain before I squeeze the rest out this morning. This is about the best use of the trim and leftovers that I've been able to come up with. Much more distance from glycerin than if I made oil or dry ice keef and this is now fully orally active thanks to the decarbox.

There was hope there when Matty got the goal and they managed to hold the Jets to only one goal until the last minute when they got beat 2-1. DAMNED close and they played pretty well overall.

It took me a while to get the print setup to run overnight as there are 2 sets of K9 parts mixed around the can rack piece. I had to wait for the prior print to finish before getting it running. A little after 8pm it was set to run while we went out to soak.

Both boys came out to soak for once, it's quite rare for them to in the evenings outside of R's post practice dunks.

Okay, this is pretty slick. I found a tin penny whistle model and printed it in PET. I'm really quite impressed with how it came out. It sounds quite good, is super light weight and fits in the pocket. The boys want them for sure so this morning's first print has 4 of the mouth pieces going with the drink rack part.

The printer has been going since 5am when I had to restart the overnight run as the AI stopped it for quality. I figured out the can rack files so today will be trying to get all of them printed out which looks like about 7 or 8 hours of print time but that will be 2 racks finished. PDC is on this morning, I'll get the boys to school soon, then the big project for the day is filling in the potholes on our road as it is AWFUL now. I should pull steaks to thaw for grilling tonight and try to do some cleaning around the house.

The pool noodle works for me, I think it will be good insulation on the water pipe!👍😀
I noticed a lot of people stamping stainless steel 304 or better quality 316 stainless steel washers with crypto seed words....
Looks like 3-D printers can print the stamping jig file for just pennies in plastic... since I don't have a 3-D printer I just ordered one it's being shipped for $12 plus 5 dollars shipping. You could probably make some money selling these!😀

I presume like THIS. I just got the files and will toss one on one of my plates running today and see how it does.

Exactly that’s the jig I just ordered!👍
The one they are shipping to me , fits slightly smaller washers 8MM x 24MM😇
Each washer is stamped with the number of position and then at least the first four letters of the seed phrase, and with 316 stainless steel it’s pretty much indestructible!
