I had let the printer run into the night and yesterday morning the plate was finished. I had set it to run at 25% speed to see if it would be any quieter but it didn't make much difference since it was oodles of small pieces which meant the motors were in action constantly. They all came out perfectly though and gave me 5 full sets of frame parts.
As soon as I had the plate cleaned I got the next one running. I got the boys to school and a couple hours later the plate was done.
I was surprised to see the sun shining as I went out to the tool shed. We were supposed to have nonstop clouds and fog so it was a very welcome respite from the blech grey.
All the parts got organized out to keep them separated and easier to work with.
Early afternoon I headed to the school to pickup R and we headed into town for his ortho appointment.
He had just been finishing p.e. at school so was a ball of bouncing energy. It took a couple tries to get him to sit still long enough for the xray.
Made us laugh hard at the way he had to hold his mouth open for the pictures. He got scanned later with the $30k 3d laser scanner that I was totally geeking out on. It makes the stl file which goes to a resin printing place that prints in very fine details. The scanner is only meant for very close fine detail scanning and can't work on large areas and it is an old model even...
The reason is R had to have his baby tooth pulled and the adult tooth below is about 2 years from emerging so a spacer is being made to hold the teeth apart to keep the space for it to move into freely.
I headed out while they finished up with the appointment setting so I could stop for gas on the way home. I hit things EXACTLY as I turned off the highway and onto our road as the bus was about to cross the highway to drop off J.
We walked into the house to the finished prints of the 6th 7th and 8th armor sets finished.
The Kraken played the Penguins and they are truly the most bipolar of all the teams. Every other game is a good one, followed by a sever trouncing. I was in the kitchen getting dinner made super early as @stryeyz and J had volleyball down in town.
These things are just fun. The Vash The Stampede pose.
I had figured they would blow it and for a while they were until all of a sudden they popped off 2 goals in minutes to take the lead.
After the open net goal at the end they managed a solid win, completely opposite their prior game. I guess it could be considered a form of consistency?
The game was over and the next prints came off. I got a Cyberman head to print!
@stryeyz got hers put together and it got a pair of googly eyes which made us laugh quite hard.
Then I put myself into fits imagining a freshly converted Cyberman that still has to shit. I can just hear the digital voice screaming, "IT BERNS!!!!"
J and I were talking and after looking at the print files I found that the models are licensed freely so we will be making kits for him to take to sell to friends. I think $5 is a rather cheap price for a kit with a plate of frame pieces, a plate of armor pieces, and an assembly guide. He'll be taking a couple to see how they go over but with the interest already I expect to have a number of orders.
Out to soak later than normal and got a bit over a cycle.
Walked back in to the last plate of the day finished. I got my second ice axe for my climber so it can now do better moves. The white frame parts are largely going towards the female bots but likely will need to just keep all the colors in stock.
It looks like sun again today, maybe once the fog burns off. The printer is going already and will stay going all day, I'll get the boys to school soon, refill softener, order more filament, work in greenhouse, get a batch of glycerin going, then I will have dinner ready again early as R has wrestling practice this evening.

Completely amazing what these 33 printers can do!
Maybe eventually, I will look into getting one!👍😊
They are stupid cheap now. For $200 you can get a good entry level one.
I think I will eventually I’m kind of learning from you and your post. Apparently the quality of the filament is very important.👍😊
That's a bunch of little prints, lol. Is this for a game, or just toy figures and such?
It's making These figures. Messing with them gives me insight into Robot Chicken, I bet Seth and buddies were non stop laughing their asses off as they made them. The anthropomorphisation is just too easy when they are shaped like humans.
