It was headed right for us yesterday morning, finally an actual snow. This month has been super dry compared to what we saw last month and compared to prior years.
This is the comparison of the last 5 Decembers. We are currently the black bar... WAY WAY off from the prior years. It's been quite a bit warmer this winter so far and have had pretty much no weather.
Our region acts funky with storms. The Spokane metroplex creates a bubble around it that can push the moisture around the outsides. The doppler is just to the west of the city and has a great view of the region so is most always accurate.
PDC is on in the mornings then the mid days thanks to it being in London.
It seemed to take forever for the snow to manage to start falling and it began extra light and sparse for about half an hour before it eventually picked up.
After getting the boys to school I got my clothes washed, dried, and put away then now that the swelling has finally gone down I was able to shave. The swelling was painful to the gentle touch let alone the push of the shaver so had to wait till I could handle it.
It was nearly 10am before the flakes grew in size and actually managed to get a little build up.
Going out to get the mail late morning there was a lull in the snow which hadn't really dropped a lot.
We got waves of snowfall over the rest of the day.
American Gates beat Menzies who went through a breakdown at the end of the match. His emotions and the pressure of everything seemed to get to him and Gates moved on.
I had let the plants go a touch too long without water but they still popped back fine once the soil was drenched again. Have to be more consistent with the watering, actually put the task in my calendar to remind me.
The dipole antenna I made needed to be tested so I got it mounted on a wood dowel then hooked to the VNA. I set the range to 100-180Mhz and found the elements were tuned to 114.4Mhz with a nice SWR of 1:1.4 which is a rather nice setup.... for that frequency. Which is NOT what I want, I want 145Mhz. So I have to come up with different elements that I can tune by trimming the lengths of.
For the evening I got another battlebot printed out. This is a vertical spinner and the print came out rather nice. I have to order motors, radios, receivers, and more filaments so I can get them rolling. They are ant weight bots that will be in the 1 pound/450 gram range when done. The one thing I'm unsure of is if there are any bot groups or battles in Spokane... I'd presume there would be with the colleges and oodles of schools we have in the region.
I made dinner, we watched the Sunday animes, got more time at the board, then we headed out to soak which I managed more time thanks to the reduced swelling, though the skin was the limiting factor now.
Today I GET MY S19 FINALLY AFTER 2 MONTHS!!!!!! UPS will be delivering it likely this afternoon but hopefully earlier, I'll be watching the tracking for time updates so I can have the gate open so they can drive in to the house. I'll get the boys to school this morning, it's going to snow a tiny bit more, I'll get the ethernet wire fixed in the greenhouse, build the stand and cover for the miner in the greenhouse, print more, at some point soon I have to roll another bale into the sheep, PDC is on again, and I'll get dinner figured out this evening.

Wow...you just had a remarkable experience buddy
Hello, what weather app do you use? :D
I find the APKs on various sites so I get the pro level with the finer grained hourlies. My go-to is the totally free Wx for my day to day on the farm but I use Windy for paragliding forecasts and I'm really liking Meteoblue.
Awesome that your S 19 is coming today!🤗
I will be very interested how efficiently it hashes!😊
Enjoy the snow !🤗
It sounded like I'm getting a better model than I ordered but will find out for sure later. I'm hoping they bumped it to a pro so it brings it to 29.5/THs instead of the 34.5 of the one I ordered.
That's awesome!!👍
Let us know later..........👍😀
