In a rare move yesterday morning I was in town at 7:30 getting grain instead of my normal 5am time. It was thanks to my having a dentist appointment at 8. It worked out well timing wise and also well that there was little traffic to worry about. I got the pair of barrels loaded into the trailer then headed up Division to the dentist.
It really is amazing how fast the fillings are now, 20 minutes and it was done. UV set compounds rule. A bit after 8:30 I was headed for home and had the trailer emptied into the sheep pen before 9. The sheep[ were super happy for the grain and the birds all piled in once I let them out.
It was hockey day with 3 games on. The first was the Canada Finland game which Canada got off to a quick start on.
Over the morning it kept snowing off and on with some heavy bands that came through. It didn't amount to too much over the day though.
I was fighting the printer with a model that kept stopping at the same point and killing the print. I tried just this single HSW part and it printed fully so it must just be the model file is borked.
Finland almost got the comeback going but Canada won and will Face the US on Thursday for the championship.
With the first game over I went out and got the snow blower going and ran it around the farm. I made sure to go down the road a bit and probably should do a lot more today since it is to be 50F next Sunday/Monday and this is all going to be a melting mess.
The paths got cleared but I still should do more in the face of the melt.
I am likely too late but I am going it give it a try. I printed out a pair of maple taps and I want to go try tapping a couple of our river maples. I know they aren't sugar maples but they still flow some. The concern is the temps now...
I saw that the Spokane Chiefs were playing Kamloops so I turned the game on to see them down 2-0 but within minutes they were tied.
Then they got the goal to go into the lead and a Kamloops player lost teeth on the ice. They were picking them up to take to the bench. Dude took a puck right to the mouth and the ref carried the teeth off the ice. It looked super gnarly. Even with the mouth guard he still got torched.
And the Chiefs got into the WHL playoffs with their win.
I had tried these in PLA but the filament screwed up so I had swapped to PET and managed to get these done. they are the edges for a HSW panel and look great put together.
In the evening the US Sweden 4 Nations game came on which was of no consequence for either but they still played hard. So hard that Brady hurt himself sliding into the goalie's skate and the net.
In the end the US lost but it still is in the final.
Got a set of quads for the HSW done then turned the printer off for the night.
Got a half hour soaking before heading for bed.
Today begins our warmup over the week and the melt begins in earnest. 50F by Sunday. I'll get the boys to school, go to my chiro appointment, mail a package, wash my clothes, run the snow blower around more but the plow just got our road so only the driveway and paths now, keep the printer going, then come up with dinner this evening.

In winter, when the snow falls on the road like this, people must face some difficulties.
I hope you get some maple sap, our neighbors have been harvesting gallons I know this won’t last long. It is late in the season….🙄
What a jam-packed day! It's amazing how much you accomplished, from grain delivery and dental appointments to hockey games and 3D printing.Your multitasking skills are impressive!
I have been hearing of winter fails before but I have not experience, I heard that people always find it so difficult and bitter of going out, and the day will be so tough, that shows a great and fast filling, more grace.
