First thing yesterday morning I was out picking in the graden. I tried to pick down pretty far with not picking for a few days so as not to have monsters when we get back. The squash are on their backside of heavy production now so I shouldn't have a ton to pick later.
The tomatoes I don't really have to worry about as they take a bit to ripen on the plants.
I went counting the dividers I have left and found I have more than enough to cover the gear shed roof next week.
I peeked in the coop to see the duckling bouncing around the duck.
I went to my IFS appointment while @stryeyz went to her chiro. We both got back at the same time and soon we had everything loaded up and on the road north.
We stopped in Sand Point for lunch at a great local joint.
It was only an hour and a bit from there to the border crossing.
Which is quite small and it always interests me the fact that they don't have the myriad of scanners and detectors like the US side does.
Then 15 minutes after the border crossing and we were at our hotel in Creston. We got settled in then headed out to try and go see if I could fly Mt Thompson.
There was active logging and the road was closed up so we turned around and stopped at a trailhead to look around. This trail heads out to the old "Glider Point" about a mile out. I had no desire to hike it so we just checked out the creek.
It was very well used over many years as the ground all around the creek is littered with old rusting cans. They look to all be at least from the 40s or 50s by the shapes and structure of them, combined with how rusted they are.
It really is amazing how lush the forest is even at the end of summer.
We made it back to the room then found that the brewery is kid friendly so off we went. The boys had a really tasty gourmet root beer which they loved. R has lost all bashfulness and was playing with all the dogs and talking to all the people.
Wild North has some solid beers and a really nice atmosphere.
@stryeyz and J played a round of 3d Scrabble and managed 18 tiles tall on the one letter. We eventually called it and headed back to the room. After a while we went next door to Ricky's for a bit of light late food.
The winds are all wrong for me to fly and the storms are inbound this evening. We are not sure yet what all we will be doing so have some decision to be making this morning. We may end up in Kaslo or Nakusp, maybe New Denver... who knows.

R and J take beer too?
Actually, they look like they are enjoying what they are drinking😁😁
It's root beer, no alcohol in it, just a soda pop. 😁 The boys like to pretend it's real beer though 😜
😅
The duckling looks so tiny around the duck.
I’m sure the kids had fun while playing scrabble.
Not heard of 3D Scrabble, that must have been cool to play!
