The feel of Fall is beginning to creep in in the mornings now. Once the sun comes up though it warms up pretty quick. I was out and picking the trio and am getting a healthy amount of tomatoes each day.
I gathered up a couple tools and headed for the hill. Tried to get a shot of the spider web but it didn't quite get it. There were tons of them strung across the path that got cut down as I hiked the hill.
The old den was quite a bit bigger than I thought and there were some nice sized boulders that I got to trundle down the hill. I shoveled at the area and worked my way up the hill still finding a cavity.
There is little chance of anything trying to reopen this now that I have it caved in. Lots of rocks down inside and no more roof of the cave. Once done I went up into the pen to check the spots on the fence then hiked back down and double checked other trees for openings.
Seeds are sprouting and my pea rows are looking quite nice as well as the beets.
Much of my day was spent working on cleaning the patio which had become a disaster area. I found the pile of my work clothes which required a heavy washing.
A bit after noon I had to run up to Deer Park to drop off a return at the pack and ship.
It was pretty warm in the afternoon so I grabbed the pole saw and got back to trimming up the trees. These were all around the upper studio and by the apple tree. My goal is to trim all the tree branches off up to about 8 to 10 feet for fire dangers. I have to haul the branches still though as I just cut them and let the m fall.
My truck keeps throwing a code for too lean and when I popped the hood I found the coupler between the air intake filter box and the intake was separated. I got it coupled back up and will find out this morning if it was the problem or if I have to go to the air flow sensor.
Finally towards evening I managed to get the patio largely cleaned up. I still have more to do and more stuff to figure out places for but it is a big step in the right direction.
I got dinner made and we fought with the boys to do their chores before we went out to soak for a while.
Today I have my chiro early, am fiddling with the coop code still, will clean on the patio more, move branches, harvest, then get dinner made this evening.
