Yesterday morning after getting the boys to school I pulled apart J's laptop and popped the battery out as the pc had bricked. Wouldn't turn on even plugged in. He said the battery was trash and would barely hold a charge so we are trying a new one that will be here sometime today. Thankfully it is an easy to remove and fairly cheap one.
I was having trouble with the #Lora units so I did a mass #Meshtastic reflash of all 3 devices and reset all the options. I am trying to get the main node for the valley setup with an admin channel that will allow me to manage it remotely but I have to figure it out and test it in the house before I go mounting the unit up on the hill. The solar panel won't be here until Saturday anyway.
@stryeyz got off work early since the boys had a half day and then both of their teacher conferences. I was out in the greenhouse pulling the last plants. All the peppers came out finally and gave me another pound of unripe peppers.
That left the tomato and malabar left.
The tomatoes gave me 2.25 pounds which might actually ripen enough.
The boys got home from school then Man Utd's match started not long before we had to leave for J's conference. When we got back home I was amazed to see Utd had 3 goals. I sure hope getting rid of ETH changes the team cause the path they were treading was straight out of the PL.
We went to R's conference and had to do apologies and assurances of our working on his outbursts and lack of good decision making.
Once back for the rest of the day I found a piece of poly pipe and dug a channel then buried it between the tree and the drain tile sleeve. I will be mounting our Starlink on the tree to get us better signal and less obstructions. The cable arrived last night so between the rain showers today I will get it done.
Back to the greenhouse I hacked down the 4 remaining tomato plants then cut down a bunch of the malabar spinach. I filled a kitchen garbage bag full of 10 pounds of the malabar which went to the cooler.
The rest of the malabar went to the sheep pen and the tomatoes over the hill side.
Rolled the irrigation lines and folded the plastic. I still have an onion growing and 2 spinach that came up in the peppers row. I hacked the malabar off but it will die most likely pretty soon.
@stryeyz headed off to an appointment in the valley and I kept at cleanup around the yard. I got a fire going in the pit to deal with more of the debris.
I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have already done this morning. The birds are totally pavlovian. The moment the trailer gets touched they all come running thinking I have grain in it.
The sheep needed their water refilled and while I stood there as it filled I saw the pile of branches I had tossed out of the pen. After the waters were filled I drug the pile to the pit and broke them down and piled them on.
Very nice fire for about 45 minutes before it burned down most of the way.
We are in the midst of the weather. Welcome to the wet season.
Got out to soak but my damn hands were on fire from the bout of eczema so I only got about half an hour.
Been to town this morning already in the rain to get grain which is in the trailer in the yard until it's light and I will go empty it out. I will be moving the Starlnk dish, build the extension on the patio roof, hopefully fix J's laptop, the Kraken play this afternoon, I got the 12v BMS so I want to make a 12v pack, and hopefully hear back from Kaboomracks about my MIA order.

I hope the new battery fix’s the laptop, glad it was an easy replacement !👍😊
Yeah it's a bit of a craps shoot anymore as the things get thinner as to whether or not the battery is removable. I'm hoping this is all it needs.
I replaced a couple batteries in iPhones, and for me I need jewelers magnification headset!🙄
Then some of the screws are not magnetic !😮
The battery did not fix it. So I have to get a m2.5 ssd to usb to get the boy's data off the drive.... and our Starlink died after I moved it to try and get better signal... One of those days.
Sounds like time to soak in the hot tub …. Rough day!😮
Amazing how excellent you build your tomato farm. Am not surprise about united cause they are one of the strong teams i picked when playing soccer games years ago
Utd are so hit or miss the past few years. After the CR7 debacle it seems they can't get any consistency.
Yah but now I'll say they are getting back on track
