Just a bit of snow yesterday morning, maybe an inch in total from the night. All super light and fluffy it was super easy for R to shovel the deck which he has a funny drive to do. He wakes up and comes out to see the snow, gets excited, then his blurry eyed little self gets clothes and boots on and goes out to clear the deck. Very purposeful in it and I don't mind as it's that much less for me to shovel.
The print messed up about 20 layers before the end. Stupid garbage white PETG does this shit too often. I also could very distinctly see the unevenness of the print. WAY off when taller. So that had my morning setup for me.
R on his mission.
The weather was aimed at us still so the entire day it snowed... very lightly...
There was maybe once during the day that a heavy band came through, otherwise it was a light fluffy snowfall.
It took me a good bit to fix the printer as I had to pull the side panel to get access. I used my ruler to measure the floor to build plate distance and found that it was off by 2mm. To fix it I had to remove the bracket from the front right z axis and the back center z axis and I screwed the plate up and down respectively a couple holes. After numerous measurement checks I had it leveled FAR better than it was. I'm verging on reprinting my rocket to make it straight so I don't have to take them to the grinder.
I printed the rest of the pieces for the tape dispenser any way in hopes it can still be used.
I found a good test print and set it to max height for my printer. It came out perfectly straight so my leveling job was a success.
I headed out to get the mail and saw canine prints heading south along the side of the road so I followed them. Along the way I saw 5 different rabbit tracks but none of them seemed to have been chased. I walked to the bone yard following the canine tracks and they stopped at the ram but then continued on south. Likely a coyote in transit.
I just love to watch Arteta get upset, it's like watching Pep get blindingly enraged.
I found a cool model for a used coffee ground tub. It allows the grounds to dry out without molding. I plan to use it for my tea.
And the little snow continued all day in spits and spats but almost always flakes falling.
The rest of the container finished shortly before I had to take R to wrestling practice. I'm rather pleased with it and it will work well for my tea.
The numbers have dwindled a bit so there were about 20 kids there last night that trickle in until start time.
The last barbell stand came off and I will glue it together today.
Headed out to soak after @stryeyz got back with R. The roads were not the best but I was fine at normal speed but the "others" were not so, 40 mph is obnoxious when the roads are still okay.
Surprised this came out as well as it did. A 7 segment extendable "sword" that extended perfectly first try off the bed.
Just shy of 3 feet tall extended it's made out of PETG. I will be scaling it to 9 inch segments so it will be near 4 ft long.
More snow overnight, a couple inches. I have my filling first thing this morning, will move snow when back on the farm, keep printer going, a match mid day, will pick the boys up after STEM, then come up with dinner this evening.
