Sunrise, Miner/Heater, PDC, Hay Bale, Utd Died, Root-canal-less, Dino, Krash, Rain - Thursday

Quite the nice sunrise yesterday morning looking back towards the farm as I sat waiting to drop the boys at school.

I only got the sliver of it but those who were not blocked by the terrain had a much better view of it. It wasn't exactly a red dawn so didn't really reflect a big storm, just some weather at some point during the day.

I had let the birds out for the day and stopped in to check the greenhouse. The temp was in the 50s and there was a huge area of dry soil extending from the S19 out into the greenhouse about 15 to 20 feet. I DO have the thing cranked up right now as a small stress test, it's rated for 95T but I have it at 115T now. I'll be putting it back down to normal soon. The fans are rather loud and I'm going to do some work on it today to clean it up, blow out the dust, and try to lube the fans to attempt to lessen their noise.

The sun actually made another appearance but spent a lot of time hiding during the day.

The afternoon PDC session saw Stowe Buntz get his ass handed to him unfortunately.

He was losing and Utd was coming on soon so I headed out to the sheep pen to roll a new bale in. I popped the pallets apart and uncovered the bale. I spun the bale on the pallet and rolled it off only to have the bale land on its flat side. I was not pleased by that.

I went and grabbed one of my long pry bars, rammed it into the bale, then used it as leverage to tip the stupid thing back onto the rolly side.

It only had to move about 10 feet then I got the fence closed and the pallets wrapped around the bale. The animals were up top so didn't see the bale until after I was in town.

I got back in the house in time to watch Man Utd go down a goal early. I KNEW it was going to be a shit show and they would get trounced. When I got home from town I saw that I was right and they lost 4-3. Exactly what they deserve this year. I'm actually HOPING they get relegated just to teach the shit ownership a lesson.

To the dentist I went for the root canal. I was numbed and she went at the bridge/crown end over the tooth. The problem is the tooth is buried under the crown and you can see the narrowing at the top of the root by the crown, which meant she wasn't able to find the canal. In the interest of NOT destroying my tooth or the crown she called it and referred me to an Endo. I very much respect that as much as I would have liked to have the root canal done I also like when a person knows their limits and can admit it.

The numb is still seeming to be wearing off even this morning as the abscess area hasn't exactly woken up yet. Dinner was easy with leftovers and the boys were messing around in the evening. J's dino costume gets drug out about once a week. He's trying to devise some dance moves while in costume to make T-rex get jiggy... Looked quite funny sitting there watching tv.

The Kraken played on the road and got trounced by Chicago. They have their new player Kaapo Kakko who is pretty good but had zero practice with the team so it will take a bit to get him slotted into the lineup right. It was a shellacking at 3-1 and they maintain their bottom of the division standings.

It's weird how long it takes to ingrain precise movements. Slowly but surely as I am practicing near daily my form is gradually refining and my throws are becoming more consistent. The groupings are closer and I'm finding the "feel" more often where I know where the dart will hit when it leaves my hand or before.

IMG_20241219_194020.jpg

There is too much time between these throws but they are happening closer together slowly. This was about 15 visits later with a number of single triple visits in there that were in the 60-100 point range. Which I'm becoming more comfortable with but need to really work on the doubles for finishes.

Headed out to soak and got a half hour in before my hands freaked on me thanks to no prednisone while on the antibiotics. It's been a tough balancing act and I'm anxious to be able to get back on it to kick the eczema back.

As I soaked I began to feel sprinkles and once out I checked the doppler to see the band of rain showers moving through.

Today will be a bit crazy. Get boys to school first thing then go back to pick R up around 9:30 and take him to town for our best family friend's youngest's birthday party at the roller rink. He'll end up back for the rest of the school day, I have to call the Endo for my appointment scheduling, do the cleaning and tuning on the S19, PDC is ongoing, I need to get the tables to the greenhouse, order more printer filament, work on printing R's Pokeball he wants for Christmas, then this evening is @stryeyz yearly company Christmas party which is always fun.
