I was up for a while yesterday morning before I got the printer going for the day. It was pretty cold out, near 10F at dawn but over the day it warmed up a bit to about 30F. We are in for some serious cold the next few nights where it will likely get to below zero.
Mid morning we headed up the road to Backroads for breakfast, the first time we have gone fore breakfast. R actually got to the point of, "I think I've had too much sugar"... which is a rarity for him. We had mimosas with our food and the boys shoveled money into the arcade machines. We were back home before noon.
Made the boys sliders for their doors so they can have busy/free which they both put up on their doors right away.
Found a proper nozzle wipe bracket finally. The other ones were too long so the nozzle kept missing the pad. Now it is perfect length and folds up to make dealing with the plate much easier. Only problem is I have to make sure to put it down before starting a run.
The rocket is the new door handle.
I got the second jigsaw blade handle made for @stryeyz and it worked WAY better to make the nut out of PLA. The new blades I ordered will be here today so she and I will split the 2 sizes of metal cutting blades.
I got the HSW panels installed in the bathroom above the sink and then put up the shelves and baskets.
It did wonders for the sink now, there is way more room and far less stuff crowding the faucet. I really dig these HSW panels.
The sun was out all day as there was not a cloud in the sky. Should be the same all week long.
I had the pregame show on for the mid day until the game started. R was absorbed in his Pokemon cards and cataloging them.
Have lots of Dummy parts still to print. I tried to use PLA for this but the nozzle kept getting borked so I just swapped over to PET and it printed perfectly fine.
The Eagles were on fire and destroyed KC thankfully. I was quite happy to see #Trump saluting, proper saluting, during the anthem. The half time show was not great.
I grilled our steaks on the Blackstone since my firepit is shit now.
More parts came off as I had Futurama on to cleanse the palette of the footyball. I got the filament swapped to grey PET and set the El Capitan model to print.
We headed out and I managed a little over half an hour again.
The moon was incredibly bright in the very clear night sky.
El Cap came out pretty good and I'll probably try another one soon. I got the boys to school already, it's still 0F out as the sun is up, will water the plants in the studio, go see the creek/tunnel now that it's so cold, keep the printer going, then this evening will have dinner ready early as R has practice.
