Mid morning I had my chiro appointment which I needed after the ice climbing last week and the mechanics this week...
Back home I got a bunch of stuff drug over to the front of the truck and setup the table to give me more working space. The rain was flitting about and I got sprinkled on a number of times.
I got the oil drained out which was a lot more than I expected there to be. Super black even though I had put in a bunch fresh. Shows how bad it was I guess. Didn't see chunks or metal pieces stream out with it but I still have to pull the pan today.
Water pump off and oil filter mount off.
I found a great use for the Thrive order bags that we have oodles of. I'm using them to bag the parts off my truck to keep them from getting dirty and to keep them organized so I don't lose parts.
I was working on the engine when our beef order arrived. It's good that we had it delivered given the circumstances. It sat in the house until after I picked @stryeyz up from work.
I had the RMA v ATM match on and it went about as expected. Madrid is a rather soccer crazy city judging by how insane the stands are for the matches.
I headed back into town to pickup @stryeyz from work as the bulk of the rain really hit. I went through some intense down pours on the way down then it was dry until we got home and I had a chance to get everything for sure under cover.
It's coming along, not fast but it going. Got the left side cams off and the right are ready. At this point I need to get the water pump off and I am having a hell of a time getting the bolts off the fluid transfer.
My fight this morning will be these 4 since it has to come off to get to the bolts behind.
The bags worked great with the rains.
The top end isn't looking bad.... which worries me a bit to be going deeper but that's where the valves lie.
All evening it rained while @stryeyz was at a meeting in the valley.
The Kraken played and got spanked pretty good.
I went out to soak for half an hour then back inside to watch the end of the game.
They had a chance to tie but just couldn't get it done.
Today it's clear and dry and I will get the boys to school and @stryeyz to work then will spend my day attacking the engine some more. My goal is to get the left head off at least which means the water pump and timing cover must be removed. Then R has practice this evening and weigh ins for the first tournament this weekend.

I hope it isn't too bad my friend..... hopefully it will it be something easy to repair quickly!😇
That's my hope too. No damage to the plugs so likely a piston didn't go, likely a rod or valve broke but I will know when I can get the head off.
Hopefully you can easily get parts for that engine......
Good luck my friend!!😀👍
