It's taking what is seeming like forever for the swelling to go down but each morning it is noticeably smaller and the pain is reduced. I found myself up around 4am yesterday morning but was able to catch some more sleep on the couch as it had me in an inclined position which felt better on the swelling.
Man Utd played the Derby against City and were getting their asses handed to them like was expected. They were down 1-0 with about 10 minutes left in the game when they got a penalty kick goal and not long after Amad got the winning goal in extra time. It was GLORIOUS to see Pep's face! I think at least half of all the EPL fans think the same.
I had went searching for glue, namely super or Gorilla slue to put the keychain bb shooters together. I ended up using 2 part epoxy but they are nice and strong now and able to be on a keychain. I'd like to get stronger springs for sure so they can shoot farther but for now they work okay.
The world championship in Darts started mid day and goes for the next 2 weeks. The champ Humphries easily defended his title in the end match of the day.
It seems like weeks since we have had sunshine! Not that it does much for us when it is this low in the sky but the brightness was very welcome.
While Humphries blew Tricole out of the water I finished splitting the wood rounds. The boys ended up coming out and stacking the split wood.
Next was the greenhouse... I had spread grain but had not tilled it in. The warmer temps and moisture in the greenhouse lead to the grain going off. It was a complete sheet of white fungus.
I got the tiller out and found to my chagrin that the belt is absolute garbage and I will HAVE to get a good one by spring. For now it managed barely. I was not taking chances and had my N95 mask on while tilling as I did NOT want the shit in my lungs.
The tiller hit the surface more than depth but that's the most important right now to bust the fungus up. At least I know for sure that the soil will be teaming with mycho.
Mid afternoon I put together a dipole antenna. It ended up coming together really nicely with a little soldering.
The dipoles are the tuning legs of my disc cone antenna. I think I am boned though as they have coils on them that aren't letting me hit the 140-150 Mhz range. It was sitting well above when I ran the VNA on it.
Not sure if a choke is going to do the trick but I will try playing with options for tuning.
Lol, the Seahawks season is over thanks to Smith getting injured. Their backup QB is not even community college level in skill and they got completely blown out.
I managed maybe 20 minutes soaking before I had to get out and head to bed.
Today the storm is hitting and we may get snow. I've got the boys to school already, PDC is on, I'll wash clothes, make sure things are under cover for the possible snow, work on the dipole, water the plants in the studio, then this evening come up with dinner.
