My whole morning yesterday was taken up with the task of troubleshooting the 3d printer. With my attempts at using the off brand colored filament it had borked the printer and it was suddenly unable to print more than a tiny bit before screwing up.
I had the Man Utd match on which there was ZERO reasons for them to actually win and they only did thanks to the keeper. While it's great to see Arteta pissy I am more than positive that this was just a blip and Utd will be right back to their losing ways next match.
IT WAS A FILAMENT FIGHT!!!!!!!
So I went and did a total tear down on the head, swapped out the nozzle, reconnected everything, tested it, and still had issues. Finally I popped the filament feed mechanism off after hearing it pop a bit trying to extrude and what did I find? Stuck pink filament on the rollers which was stopping the feed from working correctly.
I put in some black PLA and ran the self tests a couple times, found where the bed mesh numbers are located FINALLY!!!!, and then ran a couple test prints before the printer was back to printing like normal.
OMFG the Kraken are fucking awful. They had a blowout win Saturday and then yesterday they shit the bed like they had drank a barrel of Olestra. It was big brown streaks all around the ice and of course they had useless Grubauer in the goal who got pulled half way through the first period.
YAY THE printer is back to working and I got the frame parts printing for the Dummy 13s. This was the first print back after the fix but each of the next looked better and cleaner.
Lol, 6-0 in the 2nd period....
What a joke, the exact opposite score from Saturday night. They stand in 5th from last place in the NHL...
After the abortion of a game I put on the Matrix 2 followed directly by 3.
Double double for a 90 out, and I was even aiming for it!
These dummies are too much fun. I printed out telemark skis for mine. I have oodles of various accessories to print out and I made damned sure to find the next one first thing.
I had to get the toilet. With the switch of filament I got the armor plates printed for the boys and the toilet for mine.
These things are CRAZY expressive. SO much can be portrayed with just the positioning. I had myself giggling all evening long as I set them in different positions and poses. I couldn't help myself and the giggling just wouldn't stop.
The boys were super stoked to put theirs together but I told them they had to do it together. J got his finished but R still has a bit to do on his which we will try and finish this morning.
The agony... Lol.
I swapped out filament from the opaque blue to the slightly translucent and printed off the armor for @stryeyz dummy. The color looks really cool in person.
She got the body of hers together and will finish the rest later. I will be printing these out in large numbers and various colors.
Out to soak until my skin forced me out.
Today I get the boys go to school first thing, I'll keep the printer working away, deal with the cardboard buildup, rummage for R's wrestling gear he needs for his practices starting tonight, I'll have to have dinner ready early so he can eat before practice, then will get him to and from. Busy week this week with stuff almost everyday or evening.

Very much a learning curve with the 3-D printer…🙄
Sounds like it’s finicky with generic filament !
Yeah there is vast differences in quality between brands and it seems it is well worth it to pay the extra for the better filaments.
Seems to be the same with ink cartridges with printers..... some of the generic refills wor for a while but then they leak or have problems.......🙄
The old adage holds true, you get what you pay for.
