Today was another day of collecting vegetables around our garden. We were able to collect more squash, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers
We have also started to collect about 8 to 10 eggs a day now, with some of these that look like copper maran eggs being a mystery. They are too small for our Copper Marran's, and so they may be one of our bantams - but which one?
Our plants have also been infested with beetles that we have to keep flicking into a cup of water.
As well as grasshoppers.
Can you see him?
Look closer
Still can't find him?
There he is !
They are actually pests and are eating our plants. We want to put up a blue jay house for next year for organic pest control.
Anyone else have natural ways they have used to get rid of plant eating insects around your home?
Overall though, it was a good day and we look forward to what tomorrow has to bring for us.

yeah im pumped!
I've found doing comprehensive soil testing and amending the soil has been very helpful in getting rid of many pests. It's been a work in progress for several years, but I have had several successes. I have many posts about how I do this, so if you are interested, I'll post links. November is the time for soil testing...
Yeah that would be great! Had no idea that November is the time for soil testing, but that makes sense. We've had a big problem with pests this year, so willing to learn about anything that may work.

Our potted plants have had a pest problem with the aphids. Destroyed our kale crop!
They're the worst! We are getting ready for them for next year.
