It's really quite amazing how many days can elapse when you are having fun. Of course by fun I mean healing up, but honestly, I am feeling much more Kat-like these days, mainly due to proper rest, de-stressing, and some fantastic nutrition. It's almost like I could feel like this most of the time if I just took care of myself, imagine that?

Self-aimed sarcasm aside, today I propelled my carcass out to the barn and grabbed the drieds wreath that I made during one our therapy wreath nights as my friends and I called them.

Most of the artifacts in this particular wreath were grown right here on the homestead, with the corn tops and a few other odds and ends foraged from local sources. I am super pleased with how my wreath turned out!

And the fragrance, thanks to the lavender and the Russian sage is pretty dang fantastic!

After smacking a nail into the dining room wall, I got down to the business of hanging the wreath so we could all enjoy it. I mean, I am pretty impressed that I got it done, it only took me about a month and a half and almost being murdered by my immune system to get to this point.

On my way out to collect the wreath I marveled at how healthy the local apocalypse food supply have become. The flock of turkey hens that chill around the farm are so gorgeous right now, all shiny and glistening from their diet of summer grasshoppers and rye from the front field that we seeded. Smart birds those girls are, hanging out where all the food is.

The turk sighting reminded me that I need to get out and harvest the last bit of seeds from the flower garden. I have some millet to cut too. Today, I put the potatoes and onions out in the larder in their respective winter homes. The impending snow don't scare me none, for at the very least I'll have tater soup and pumpkin pie!

In the morning though, I have to finish up with the apples. Another batch of caramel apple jam is in my future, along with a few quarts of apple pie filling. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching I have been thinking about pie quite a bit. And Pineapple Upside Down cake. Our family is growing and I am supposed to instruct some new family members in the art of PUDC composition for Thanksgiving dinner as it is their favorite. That should be an adventure!

But for now, I am going to go finish up dinner, a lovely bit of kalua pork and steamed sticky rice. Of course I will pause on the way there for a bit of an admire of the lovely wreath that is now hanging in our dining room.

Things are definitely looking a bit more rosy round here.😊

And as most of the time, all of the images in this post were taken on the author's scent of dried floral fragrant and happy to be counting steps again iPhone.

I am glad to hear you are feeling more chipper! That's good! Do you have a market for those fantastic wreaths you two have made?

Thanks😊 To be quite honest, I am nowhere near close to truly functioning level and it's been a bit of a downer, it looks like I did some real damage to the carcass this time, but I am working on it.

W works at the Hayden Farmer's Markets on Saturdays for a local vendor and she got permission to sell them there, and they have been flying out of the booth. She even got special orders for some. It's feeding our flower addiction as all the $ is going to pay for our gigantic plant order this spring lol lol!

That's a great way to go about selling them! And I can just imagine all the flowers you will plant next year. Maybe T. will have to till up more of the yard to accommodate the planting spree. LOL

❤️

Aww ☺️!!

Those are some beautiful wreathes!

Thanks so much! It was especially fun making them when I thought about how most of the stuff in them came off the farm lol!

Those wreaths look lovely! I bet they smell nice too.

They really do! All Old World herby and such😊

Dang, those wreaths are looking very Christmassy!

Ooh, getting into the spirit of things already MB? 😆

Well it's almost time 😀😀

When I'm having fun, I sometimes wish that the day don't end but it is not possible
