The harvest of cocoyam from my little garden

in Homesteading11 days ago

Cocoyam is a local food that many likes eating but don't know how to plant it while some who plant do not like eating it but irrespective of the one cocoyam is farming is majorly done during the raining season and harvested within 6 and 12 months of the planeted period. Earlier before now except the species that is used in making soup it's not sold in the market as many don't see it as food. As we go the demand comes up.

But today some sell it in the market as it's being recognized and people asking for it. I don't like purchasing as the one i love is scarce to get in the market and not favourably affordable. The red color cocoyam is my favorite, it has a special kind of taste with its nutritional components. On this note i love making a small cocoyam garden but unfortunately this year it happened that i planted it for those who take the night as their morning and vice versa.

I was craving for cocoyam porridge and decided to go harvest some from the little garden i made last planting season. It was disheartening to notice my cocoyam has been harvested by others on a visit to my garden. I harvested the little remaining in it, it wasn't really a moment of joy for me.

The favorite was more in the number compared to the others. The red cocoyam is it's the deal.

The little i have got from my harvest served the purpose. I prepare what i was craving despite the little quantity gotten.

Had to put it in again into the ground knowing i have already planted at the wrong the wrong time. Hoping to get a bountiful harvest this year as it's day has started counting.

You're invited to come and have a taste.

Ahh, this one touched me! After all the effort of planting, seeing others harvest your cocoyam is truly heartbreaking. But I’m glad you still got a little to enjoy your porridge. That red cocoyam truly hits different—may your next harvest be bountiful and protected!
