Visit to the Cucumber Garden in My Village

Talking about cucumbers, we can imagine a number of food menus that use cucumbers as a complement to dishes. For example, chicken geprek and ayam penyet which use cucumber as a side dish, Acehnese fried/boiled noodles use cucumber as pickles, so when eating goat/ox satay, of course it will be accompanied by cucumber juice to control the effects of high blood pressure.

In my village many people grow cucumbers for their extra income. One type of cucumber that is often grown in my village is the local type of cucumber. This type of local cucumber is a type of cucumber that has a fairly long and large size. The skin color is white with green tips. In addition, the characteristic of the local cucumber is its large seeds.

While in the cucumber garden of one of the farmers, I saw lots of cucumbers ready to be harvested with long, round and big ones. But there are also small and crooked fruit. According to the farmers I asked, the cause of small and crooked cucumbers was due to the uneven absorption of water.

Actually there are many types of cucumbers that are sold in the market, including;

Zucchini
Timun Suri
Mini Cucumbers
And various other types of cucumber
Cucumber is very much beneficial for our body. Cucumber is one type of vegetable that we consume most often. This group of vegetables is very delicious to be processed and mixed with various types of dishes. Almost 95% of the content in cucumber is water, so it's no wonder this vegetable is very good for health because it can prevent dehydration. Vegetables that taste fresh when eaten raw also have many vitamins and minerals that our bodies need.
