in Homesteadinglast month

What do you understand by the tearm HOMESTEADING?, it is very important to know why we are homesteading people, a according to my opinion i would like to say that homesteading is the act or practice of living frugally or self- sufficient, specifically by growing and reserving food is very good to grow more foods and preserve them, i share all this my food growing as an example of a homesteading.

Hi @juliasjohn, I saw some of your posts and I see that you don't use mulch in your crops. Why don't you use straw or leaves to cover the soil? This could help you reduce the evaporation of water from the soil and therefore consume less, it would also bring organic matter to the soil making it more fertile every year. Start slowly to get out of the traditional garden schemes, you could try with a small piece of land and see the differences, perhaps making articles here on hive.

Yes getting mulching materials is very expensive

Yes I know, in fact I don't buy it, but any cutting of plants, even if it's rough, is fine, even leaves or weeds from nearby fields... keep that in mind, that's all

The plants look healthy and beautiful, and the crops look really tasty.
Well done to you, your efforts were rewarded!
It is a true blessing.

Looks great, good job

Thank you very much
