Homesteading | Creating a "Money Garden" next to the house

in Homesteading2 years ago

What do you do if you have narrow land beside the house?

Leaving it like that, letting wild weeds thrive?

Of course that's not a solution and not the right choice, because with a little creativity, narrow land will become a beautiful garden, besides that it can also become a profitable "Money Garden" and help the family's economy.

Sometimes we just lack ideas, lack creativity to take advantage of existing opportunities, but today I will share with all of you what we can do to create a "money garden beside the house".

Then what can we do……?

1.Cultivate profitable crops and make money.

Cultivating chili plants can be a good choice and can be tried, apart from being able to use it for personal consumption at home, chili plants can generate money because people's purchasing power and demand in the market is very high, especially since the price of chilies on the market is now relatively high.

  1. Cultivate long-lived plants with a long harvest period.

Papaya plants are plants that have a long harvest period and are long-lived, even reaching a harvest period of up to 3 years if cared for properly.

Sweet guava is a plant that is very tempting for farmers and gardeners, besides being able to be a garden decoration, it can also be sold to the market at high prices, considering that the demand and needs of the community are very high.

To make it look beautiful, we can innovate a little by making a special pot, besides that it also helps the guava tree bear fruit quickly and has short stems.

I will give an overview of the money that can be generated by cultivating some of the above plants.

  1. for 1 chili tree will produce a harvest of 10 kg with a harvest period of one year.

that means if we have 10 chili plants with 10 sticks, then we will produce a harvest of 100 kg, if we multiply this by the current market price of 50,000 chilies, then we will get a profit of 5,000,000.

One papaya tree will produce 20 pieces of fruit, if 1 papaya weighs 3 kg, and the price of 1 kg is 3,000, then 1 papaya stick will make 180,000 money, multiplied by 10 sticks, the result is 1,800,000.

One guava tree that is 3 years old will produce 100 kg of fruit, if the market price is 1 kg 20,000, then we will get 2,000,000 in cash.

Within a year we can collect at least 8,500,000, and that is already very large for the category of narrow land that is used.

We have to start immediately ... try and feel the results ...

This is beautiful, if I had some space by the house, it will be solely for vegetables and fruit trees.

Very interesting everything you tell us friend. Without a doubt, taking advantage of the land that we have available close to home is an excellent idea. In fact, I have also been doing it at home and I have seen the result.

In my case, I have grown papayas just like you, but also bananas, yams, mangoes, and I prepared a part to plant chili peppers.

Without a doubt, I highly recommend that each person take advantage of the available land.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

What a beautiful garden, I wish I can also plant something like this even though there is a space but I am a lazy type.

This is such an inspiring post, and great pictures. Such a beautiful garden. Very well done!
