Hello Hive

Happy New Week to us! I trust that we are good and refreshed to start a new week.

Where are my gardeners and lovers of fruits? Would you like to have some fruit trees in your garden? Some of the time I do admire people who have one or two fruits in their homes. While it is a bit of a task to grow some fruits, and their trees can consume a lot of space, there are one or two fruits out here that we can grow, and that wouldn't take much space in our compound.

It is funny that even though I live on a rented property, my siblings are also interested in growing some fruit trees. I'm almost sure where we live they will want to plant this fruit tree. Here goes an orange tree we planted almost at the same time that I have moved into my place here.

Surprisingly, the tree survived and has been growing well ever since. My only fear is that when this grows taller, it may begin to expand and cover more space, which may cause it to be cut down.
My younger brother is the one mostly interested in growing fruit trees, and yesterday he made us take a walk to another man's garden, where we went sourcing for pawpaw seeds.

I was thinking of a fruit tree we can plant that wouldn't take much space, and a suggestion of pawpaw was made. I remember growing pawpaws in our former residents. We had everyone eating its fruits. For a plant that grows above the ground and wouldn't take more than 3 feet of space for its roots, it was a perfect idea.

We got to the venue where we had wanted to source some seeds and learned that even fruits have species and that there was a species of pawpaw that wouldn't produce fruits at all. In addition to these, we have some pawpaw species that produce a very large amount of fruit, while the others give a scanty yield. Above all these, we now have pawpaw fruits that also produce within just six months of planting them.

There are differences in the tree height, growth cycle, and qualities of fruit. I was exposed to a whole lot of knowledge. While I had desired to get my hands on the new species of pawpaw that is shorter in height and grows within 6 months, that seems unavailable in this town for now. It is often grown in commercial quantities by farmers in other villages away from here.

The pawpaw's aren't ripe yet, and so are the seeds withing. I was impressed by the quantity of fruits this single tree carried. Hence we were told to check back in another 3 weeks to get both some fruits that will contain the seeds for planting, and I can hardly wait for that time.
