Planting and Nurturing fluted pumpkins seedlings.

After losing my fluted pumpkins, I have been all out looking for where to purchase the seeds or seedlings for planting. I had earlier gone to one of my favorite seed stores yesterday, and the woman in charge is yet to resume business for the year since the holiday. Their doors and gates were still locked, a sign that they must have probably traveled, as most shops are already opened and a good number of persons have resumed work.

On my way back home, I was surprised to find that what I had gone in search of far away was sold at a market close to me. I found a seed seller who sells the pre-germinated seeds (seedlings). Most people do not like to purchase the seeds and would rather go for these since they are not sure if the seeds will germinate. Oftentimes, not all the seeds are privileged to germinate, and it will be a loss of money to try to grow the pumpkins from the seeds if we do not have enough resources.

I purchased a single seedling as these were quite more expensive than I thought. A single seedling is now sold for half a dollar. I only want to try with this single strand, and once it is able to grow well, I will go back and add a few more to it.

Upon reaching the house, I watered the seedlings as it was already late, and this morning I took my hoes, prepared a place for it in the sack bed, and planted the seed directly into the soil.

The seedlings is already about 6Inches tall and should be able to adjust well to a new environment of the soil it has been transplanted in.

I had planted it in the same soil in which the other stump of the withered fluted pumpkins was. The soil there should be fertile still for it, but perhaps this isn't so; I would be needing to get some other sacks, fill them with soil, and prepare them for planting veggies or any other tuber crop like I wish to give that a trial this year as well. I have seen some good harvests of tubers grown in sacks and would want to try that system of growing crops one more time.

I am yet to find other veggies seedlings and would be holding on to see when more shops will be open or other places I can visit to purchase seeds.
