As part of my homesteading journey I decided to add a touch of beauty and elegance to my home by planting some roses but in my own unique way Not only did I plant ordinary roses but I also begun growing Damask roses in bottles preparing to transplant them to the ground after they had matured I also considered planting bougainvillea to add more color and vibrancy to the space and this experience was new to me but it was both fun and challenging.
Damask roses are one of the most beautiful types of roses their scent is fragrant and gives a classic and romantic feel to any space However they are not easy to care for and require a suitable environment to grow before being planted in the ground and therefore I decided to plant them in bottles initially so I could monitor their growth and provide them with ideal conditions Then I transplanted them to the soil in the appropriate location.
As for Bougainvillea its one of the flowers that gives a space incredible energy due to its bright colors Its also very strong and requires minimal care The idea is that Bougainvillea is not just a flower its a climbing plant that can cover the walls or corners of your home This was part of my plan to fill the space around me with natural colors that add a sense of joy and comfort.
Growing roses especially the method I choose was an enjoyable experience but it required patience and focus Monitoring the flowers daily ensuring they were recieving adequate light and water and monitoring any changes to intervene at the right time taught me a lot about caring for plants that have an aesthetic appeal beyond their mere agricultural properties.
