- hello lovelies, few days ago i showed you my 3 weeks old mobile seed bed doing just well and that encouraged me to start another mobile seed bed, this time planting another kind of red pepper.
So am going to share with us step by step procedures of how i made the mobile seed bed and planting my pepper.
I got an empty opened jerrycan filled with sand (moistured sand).
I got the particular pepper i want to plant as seen in the picture above☝️ I cut it to bring out the seed, since its the only seed that can germinate and spread the seed across the mobile bed. While the seed is spread across the bed, it will take some days for the seed to dry and start germinating.note that the pepper can also be spread on the bed, it will be dried and rotten and start germinating but this process can take much longer time before the pepper will be dried to rotten before germinating thats why i exposed the seed so that the germination won't take much time.
After exposing the seed and spreading it on the bed, i watered the sand.
One of the advantages of using mobile seedbed is that it allows large number of seeds to grow on the bed before transplanting into a garden and also weeds doesn't grow with it.
This is my 3 weeks old seed bed which i started with. On it i planted tomatoes and some spinach species.
I also have aloe vera bed in the garden.
- its no secret that i love eating fresh vegetables because its nourishes the body, i want to eat directly from the source and its actually one of the joy of been a farmer.
