I had a little stressful trip back to Portugal last friday. Everything was going ok for most of the trip, I had my new door on the top of the car securely fixed and had only two hours to get to my destination. A steel door with isolation inside and PVC outside with wood looking all inside a cartboard box, an then...
It started raining!
I stopped at a gas station for a while but soon I realized the rain was not going to stop so I just decided to keep driving to get to the farm. Rain started to be stronger and as the cardboard was getting wet if started falling apart. I reduced the speed and stopped several to tighten the strips and the door was safe, but seeing the cardboard flying away from the mirror was not too pleasant. This is how the door with almost no cardboard ended
It was raining for the rest of the day but luckily the rain stopped on Saturday and we were able to start working on the entrance pillars to set the temporary gate.
It was a cloudy day but in the afternoon finally the sun showed up and I had time to plant the Aloe I brought from my parents garden next to an olive tree.
The rain will ve great for all thr trees and today I plan to have a relaxing sunday setting up everything outdoors again as we expect nice high temperatures for the coming week when we plan to start building the sleeping room.
