Good morning my fellow homesteaders, today I am writing about a project we carried out in my family Compound in my Home Town as we prepare for Christmas and the festive season as a whole. Water is scarce over here, we trek couple of miles before we could access a source of water. So these time around my Dad along with his siblings decided to dig a Bore Hole in the Village Family Compound and erect an Iron Storex Stand to place the water Tank on later.

First and foremost, we measured the distance between the feet of the Iron Storex Stand with a tape, it is 5ft from each other.
Then we marked 5ft in a squarely format on the ground where it is to be erected after which the digging proper starts with a digger and shovel . The depth of the hole dugged was 3ft.
We then source for able-bodied men around the vicinity to help lift the Iron Storex Stand in place due to it hugeness and heaviness. We need to harness the strength of a team to lift and erect it in the hole we dug. After putting the Iron Storex on place. I tested it with a Plum to make sure it is properly aligned and make necessary adjustment where the need call for it before we casted its feet to the ground.
Next was to make a concrete to hold the Storex Stand in place. We make a concrete paste throught mixing Sharp Sand with cement after which we poured Granite Stoneo on it, then apply water and the concert is ready to be used. We conveyed it to the point of use with a bucket. I added some bricks and hard stone to re-enfored the concrete at the feet of the Iron Storex.
After all is said and done we cleaned all tools used so that it will be good condition when next there is a need for it.

Wow... you guys are really doing a nice project there. When water issues are being resolved, life becomes a bit simple...no one can do without water... trekking some distance just to get water isn't easy to done everyday
