Making use of some tow straps, paracord and an electric UTV we go about pulling the beds back into shape and then staking them. The place these beds were build is on a slight incline, so they were naturally leaning to one side. Using t-posts we drive them deep into the earth and the beds can rest on them using them as support.
Some were easier than others, we could get close and pull them just from a few feet away.
Others were further away... The way it went was we ran the tow strap through the deer fence, as we could not get up close to some of them.
We had to be careful where the tow straps rested, as once we applied pressure it could push down on other beds.
My foreman uses a knot that can be slowly released. So once we pulled the tow strap tight we could undo it easily when the post was driven in.
Ah much better, maybe I can get another year or two out of them now.
We made use of the tow attachment on the UTV. Amazing how powerful it is.
Its good we had a really long series of tow straps.
No matter the UTV pulled them back into place. I would operate it and my foreman would let me know when it was level. I would put it in park and we would stake it.. And then release the tow strap.
Sure is nice to have paracord.. This 550 has been wrapped many times over giving it thousands of pounds of strength.
Sometimes the tow strap was just too long, and we had to put a loop in it. I hate doing that as its a pain in the ass getting the knot back out.
But I am really glad I was able to get these beds pulled back up, it really bothered me all that work was slowly falling apart. Now they are stabilized I can consider re-enforcing them more. Using metal plating on the corners or adding wooden support inside of the bed.
This knot should be easier to undo than the knot you used.

thanks man, I will try that kind.
Great save! That's way too much work to let slide off into the sunset 😂. Another year will do nicely, maybe two, maybe more?
Thank you, sure is.. that is the hope.
Not only you have pretty decent set up of tools to maintain a big area like this, but your ideas and implementation is neat , pretty much a perfectionist.
Hah my farm is far from perfect.. maybe one day though.
Indeed it is nice having machinery and good tools.. makes all the difference.
Nice efforts Sir.
👍
thanks much
Good evening my brother,May In accordancewish and become the place you desire, Good hard work effort❤️
Hey there..
I think it will all pay off.
Hopefully everything will pay off my brother, as you wish ❤️
Excellent
Regular maintenance saves a lot of effort and money in the long run.
Yep sure does.
Hello Mr. @solominer
It's great that you have this utility vehicle; it's been a great help in arranging these garden beds.
Great job you've done. They look great now.
Have a beautiful day.
I do like my machines, they come in handy.
Thanks, hope you do too.
Awesome! Creativity and hard work definitely pay off. Hopefully the bed will remain sturdy for years to come.
Lets hope it holds up for many years now.
Salute to your efforts sir Great work
thanks very much
My pleasure
Extraordinary work results my friend, I always pray that your hard work will always get maximum results, keep up the spirit of my friend😊
Ah thank you it is all coming together nicely now.
It looks really stabilize now, what kinda plant do you plan on using them for in the coming years that is
Yeah it is alot better now, mostly annuals but maybe a couple kinds of perennials as well.
thats a good decisions looking forward to the planting journey ahead
That's some work.
What are these beds used for?
Sure is.. gonna put some plants in there.
I see
That’s some serious dedication. Nothing worse than watching your hard work slowly tilt away. It was a good call using the UTV because sometimes brute force is the best DIY tool. Hopefully, those beds stay put for years to come
So true, really glad I fixed them before it got too bad.
Me too, hoping to get another year or two out of them now.
Damn that's some red ass dirt..
Yup, how you know I am in The South.
Reminds me of Georgia dirt from Ft Benning
Oh cool. Were you in the army?
Yeah back in 88-92
Already the preparations for the harvest are improving, how nice @solominer. Great job organizing 😉🤜🏻🤛🏻. A hug bro, great day !
It is time to start preping for our growing season. thank you.. hope you have a good one too.
Nice job getting it pulled through the fence and not wrecking the fence. It is good to save all the work you had in them. I hope it has warmed up enough to use them. I love Spring.
Ah thanks, heh yeah that would have sucked to fix one thing just to break another.
Its warm this week, but we will need to wait until may to put most things in the ground.. some other less sensitive plants can go in the ground in a week or two.
I'm glad you were able to get them back in shape. I would be careful putting the strap around the ball like that. I have heard too many stories about balls shearing off and flying through the back window of trucks (or worse) when people do that. I've done it that way a time or two myself until my buddy explained why it was a bad idea.
Thanks, oh damn yeah I can see how that would be an issue. I should probably get some more d-rings and do it that way.
looking forward to seeing the coming plants
thank you, will be planting outside pretty soon.
This is looking like a tedious task that requires a lot of effort and time. The work you are doing is not easy because I know that agriculture is not an easy business.
That is true, running the farm is quite a bit of work sometimes. But when it all comes together I think its worth it.
Oh nice, there are so many wooden beds available and for what purpose do you use those beds ?
I plan on having many plants growing, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and many others.
How wonderful ! I'm so glad this is all worked out, and that the beds are now up and ready to be planted!!!
Yep time to move onto planting soon.
That looks like a lot of work but worth the effort to preserve your beds. 🤩
Hah yeah well glad I have help with all that work. I am thankful for that.
So true, I would hate to lose them.
That's quite a project!
I wouldn't even know where I would start if I had an issue like that 😅
