Hello hive, happy new week to everyone. Its been a while posting on the hive community. Today I'm here to show you what I did today in my farm.
In some part of Nigeria there is a tribe know as the yoruba who so much desire eating a particular leaf know as cochorus olitorius but called (ewedu) in the western part in nigeria. It is widely eating in the western part of Nigeria. As a farmer, after observing that it will be a great idea cultivating this vegetable, then I took a step in cultivating it.
Expected plant when it is ready for harvest.
Cultivating this vegetable requires that you till the farm land in a bed form if you are to use irrigation. Then a manure is applied to the tilled bed for the purpose for it to grow fast.
This is the picture of how the beds should be
After it has been tilled and manure is applied, then the next step is for cultivation of the farm. This vegetable takes a whole month for it to be ready for harvesting.
This is how the plant looks like when it is ready for harvest.
I'm so happy doing this and I hope when it is ready for harvest I will update everyone here .
I really appreciate everyone going through my blog.
