Hello Busy bees,
The raining season has Bagan here in Nigeria and planting keeps going on and on. This is the 11th week after planting the maize on my farm. This is one out of 5 of the project I invested into, in the community where Iโm been Posted to serve. The second set of my maize ๐ฝ is ready for harvest.

Building a fence round the farm was the major challenge at first to prevent goats and cows being moved around my herdsmen here. But together with my helping hand,we did it and built a fence with unused planks and bamboo trees. I took us days to finish the fence but itโs worth it.
The joy in me Overflow seeing the fruit of my labour. Few weeks ago I showed you guys my maize farm, where I discussed about how I used herbicides to weed and also spray pesticides today Iโll update you on the farm. The truth is that Iโve not been here since the last time I updated you. I wish they cold keep growing lol. But Nay I got to harvest. I said that because the plants are health, considering the size of the produce and the deep green colour.
My colleague at work wonโt just plant without fertilizer. I asked why and he said โI donโt want to harvest produce that are not good enough lโ At first I was convinced but I did not follow his advice since the land has Been dormant for a long time. Virgin land they call it.
I hope you know how delicious maize can be when boiled, roasted used to make pap or ekuru .. I prefer it cooked with beans. And of course with a lot of industrial use to produce a finished products.
