This hits home. I was listening to a bible round table talk the other night and they were talking about this topic...LOL I even wrote a post about it.
But the talk summed it up with the diverse group of people Jesus called to follow him. It was quite group. From a terrorist to a publican and everything in between.
I fall in line with your thinking as well. Nothing wrong with having a party to vote for etc...But when we focus on that, rather than Jesus words that his kingdom is not of this world...We miss the big lesson.
Focus on God. Everything else second for me.
Amen, brother. Jesus first. Everything else is in the back seat.
