I spent the weekend out in the Lord's temple, nature. Since I haven't decided on joining the Catholic faith or the Orthodox faith, I don't have a place of worship to go to regularly, other than the outdoors. As John Muir said, "I’d rather be in the mountains thinking of God, than in church thinking about the mountains." and that works for me for now.
I don't know John Muir's religion nor if he even believed in God, but I know he understood God's creation. When you see nature like John did it becomes clear, God meant for us to be out amongst his creations.
I was out prospecting for turquoise, but also taking a break from our ever darkening world. These landscapes, while bleak, offer such a relief from the modern hellscape we are creating.
As I was on this peak taking in all the views I noticed that the mountains off in the distance that I had planned on going to were actually getting rain.
Within a few minutes there was lighting out there and it got dramatically darker. I guess the Lord guided me to the right spot.
This peak I was on is a telecommunications site.
Having a road to get you up there is a big help.
It was a beautiful 80degrees with a good breeze today and I took it all in.
It definitely recharged my batteries, until I got home and opened up Twitter. Perhaps I am my own problem? Thankfully nature is only a few hours drive away!
God Bless you. Thanks for reading!
A nice place to getaway to, far from Tokyo and other worldly problems.
It's definitely the opposite of Tokyo, but it's California madness I'm trying to get away from.
No doubt there.
