Hello, thanks for your opinion. That’s why I’m telling you in the post and in the app that the original content will never be affected by the AI workflow. My app just take your article in your native language and translate it with AI, but the original version will never have changes because it’s keeps in the browser cache as a variable and when the translation is returned it just add the translation bellow.
Lots of people are using translators to translate their posts and make it bilingual. All online translation services works with AI.
This is just another translation tool, and all translation become with a source quote that says “Translated and formatted with Hive Translator”. What is wrong with that?
it pretends to votes from the other languages/communities while no real work /efforts were done for them, that is the issue with it.
If you want to post something in another language, do what I did, learn that language. then you diserve recognition from that community. Even if you make mistakes or translation errors, that community knows you made an effort, you tried and didn't ask a bot to translate it. They appreciate that.
But telling people that an AI will translate for them so they can "request" votes from as many languages as they want is not a good thing. I am sure people will, sooner or later downvote such articles.
You're misunderstanding it, this app only takes an origin language and translate it to English. This is not created to post in several languages/communities. There are lots of communities that have the biggest part of their content in English, but they accept bilingual posts (see Hive Gaming, Gems, even the Hive IO community). People (mostly Hispanics) always translate their posts.
Use https://hivesearcher.com and make a search with the [ES-ENG] criteria, or just put DeepL in the search box, you will see thousands of bilingual posts. The practice it will continue, I'm just giving another tool to the community.
Time will tell.
I agree.
