Didn't manage my team last season and I ended up getting relegated but rest assured my friends, I'll be back up to division 1 before the start of the season if anybody misses their opportunity to join.
The schedule for invites will be 6th placed in Division 2 (23/24 season), 16 placed in Division 1 (23/24), 7th placed in Division 2 (23/24 season), 17 placed in Division 1, etc. etc.
I heartily accept the invitation before it's sent.
Have you created a Standard mini-league too?
And I reckon last year 4 or 5 did miss the opportunity!
