Welcome back to another look at the Hive head to head leagues.
GW2 proved a much trickier game week to score points in (seems to be the case when Haaland doesn't score) but that did mean that we had a lot of very close ties, many of which went down to the final game on Monday night between Palace and Arsenal.
You can read our full review of the fixtures in GW3 here but with several of the big clubs having favourable fixtures this weekend, it looks likely that we'll see a return to big scoring, particularly if a couple of the popular captain picks put in good performances.
Just a quick note to say we've had someone drop out of the Hive division 2 league which means we have an odd number of teams. The system compensates for this by adding an extra team called 'AVERAGE' who score the the average points across the entirety of the game for that week. If you beat the average, you win the Hive for that week. Of course, AVERAGE won't be eligible for promotion come the end of the season, the top 5 human players from division 2 will.

GW3 Fixtures - Division 1
@Martinlazizi v @b0s
A massive win for Lazz last week as they go head to head with Legion Fc who are currently 2 wins from 2.
Plenty of differentials in this match but both have Arsenal defenders that they'll hope they will benefit from a home fixture against Fulham while Konate and Trippier will do battle in the Newcastle vs Liverpool match. A key factor could also be the potential return of Ben Mee who has missed the first 2 matches of Brentford's season through injury.
In midfield, both sides have players who are looking in good form this season. With Odegaard taking penalty duty for Arsenal at Palace earlier in the week, his value suddenly increases whilst Leon Bailey was excellent in a rampant display against Everton. For Legion FC Mitoma and Saka have shown early season form whereas Rashford is yet to get off the mark and looks a little lost in the CF position They'll be plenty of managers hoping that he can find his scoring boots against Forest.
Upfront, it's certainly advantage to Lazz FC with Wissa looking in good form and Solanke a key player in Bournemouth's attack.
@GvKanten v @elmose
Both teams got their first wins of the season in GW2 and will be hoping to continue up the table. With very few differentials it's likely to be a close run thing!
In defence, Areloa's heroics against Chelsea might prompt a few managers to consider bringing him into the XI but an away trip to Brighton is likely to see his clean sheet bonus under serious threat. Meanwhile both teams have big decisions to make over a couple of high value defensive assets in TAA who picked up a knock and Chilwell who is part of a struggling Chelsea side.
In midfield, there is currently only 1 differential as it comes down to Mitoma vs Martinelli both are a good shout for points playing at home this week.
Upfront, Julian Alvarez got the winner on Friday and might fancy more chances against Sheffield United while Ollie Watkins and his Villa team begin their European campaign this week. Will that impact his performance come the weekend?
@pappyelblanco v @deniskj
Creekside have made a strong start to the season with 2 wins from 2 and come up against reigning league champs I Feel Qatari in this match. On paper, you'd say they hold a slight advantage having outscored their opponents in both GWs so far.
In terms of differentials, I'd imagine that both will continue to pick Onana in goal for United's home match against Forest but at the back there are decisions to be made. Creekside continue to carry both Spence and Livramento who between them have played just 4 mins of football this season while I Feel Qatari, like so many sides in the early part of the season, have been stung by Gabriel's surprise drop to the bench. Will either side make defensive transfers to gain an edge?
In midfield, it's a battle between 2 of the stand out performers so far in Mitoma and Mbeumo while I Feel Qatari will certainly be hoping for more from the likes of Martinelli and Rashford.
In the forward positions it is definitely advantage to Creekside FC who have Michail Antonio ahead of his West Ham understudy.
@Ipalibo v @belemo
Both sides tasted victory in GW1 and then fell back down to earth in GW2. There comparative scores from those first 2 weeks suggest this should be a very tight match but at the same time there are enough differentials for either side to find an advantage.
In goal it could be a case of damage limitation. On paper, Pickford and Everton look the most likely to deliver a clean sheet at home to Wolves but of course they did concede 4 last time out against Villa!
At the back, both Shaw and Chilwell look good picks with their relatively easy home ties while the inverted full-backs of Spurs are likely to garner greater attention as the season progresses and assuming that they continue to make aggressive runs forward. Udogie in particular is something of a steal at £4.5mil.
In midfield again, lots of points to pick up but in regards current form you'd probably say that Inzagi FC just about shade it. Further forward we wait to see what impact Villa's midweek game has on their performance at Burnley while many managers were disappointed to see Joao Pedro drop to the bench and Nicolas Jackson hasn't quite had the service yet to get his Chelsea account up and running.
@mckane v @pvmihalache
FC McKane missed out on victory by just a single point in GW2 while Content Creators took something of a beating against the Hungry Lions.
The issue for the Content Creators might be the lack of diversity in their squad selection. 3 City players, 3 Newcastle players, 3 Arsenal players and 2 United players. In game weeks like this when the big clubs aren't playing each other that policy might pay off but in GW2 and the coming GW4 (United v Arsenal) it could cause issues.
FC McKane may need to look for a replacement for the unfortunate Carney Chukwuemeka who looks unlikely to play for the next month or so following injury.
@nonsowrites v @talesfrmthecrypt
Very few differentials between these 2 sides although Suffragette City are facing something of an injury crisis at the back with Reece James definitely out and TAA and Baldock doubtful.
By contrast, Chilwell and Shaw have what look to be relatively easy home games so Nonz FC will feel they have a distinct advantage.
In midfield too, the in-form Luis Diaz and Martinelli look to be strong options while upfront, Suffragette City do have greater depth with Joao Pedro and Jackson as options for a front 3.
@borran v @shamzy
Hiveheadz were unfortunate not to secure victory in GW1 but recorded a low total in GW2. Shamzy FC look likely to have an advantage at the back if nothing else because their differentials are more likely to start than a few of the oppositions defenders.
In midfield, Richarlison and Fernandes have underperformed in the first couple of weeks and will be head to head against 2 form Brighton players. However, upfront Hiveheadz may hold the advantage with only Ollie Watkins a sure starter amongst the 4 forwards on offer.
@teofilex11 v @thoth442
Likodra FC are certainly a unique squad. In fact, in division 1, they are one of only 2 teams who hasn't picked Haaland as captain yet this season, the other being league leaders Yagman FC. Going away from the crowd certainly can have its advantages in head to head games, Likodra FC just need a bit of luck to go their way.
Both these squads are likely to make changes to account for injuries so the already long list of differentials could yet grow.
In goal, you'd have to say Flekken would be the best option when looking for a possible clean sheet. At the back, Likodra have the greater options at the moment but the in-form Estupinian could be a key factor.
In midfield, James Maddison has looked in good form compared to his teammate Richarlison but there are concerns about the England man's fitness coming into the match with Bournemouth. Otherwise both sides have quality options and it'll simply come down to who performs best on the day.
@blockchainfpl v @yagman01
BlockchainFPL entertain early league leaders Yagman FC who put in a very commanding performance in GW2.
There's plenty of variation in the goal keeping positions and you'd have thought that it'll come down to whether Brighton or Everton can keep cleansheets in their respective home matches.
At the back, YagmanFC will need to look for a replacement for Luke Shaw, otherwise their defensive options are limited. BlockchainFPL have Baldock and Kabore but they both face very difficult fixtures this weekend.
In midfield, BlockchainFPL stayed faithful to Phil Foden and the injury to KDB might just mean that he represents a great signing. Pep's rotation policy is always going to catch you out at some point but Foden's performance in GW2 suggested that he could be a key play for City in the forseeable future at least. Otherwise, Yagman FC certainly have some form players in the middle of the park.
Upfront, it might well come down to who De Zerbi chooses to start in the attacking areas. Both Ferguson and Joao Pedro have had an impact this season but alongside other forward options they too appear to be on a rotation.
@vickoly v @amirtheawesome1
Last but not least, Augment FC rallied after a disappointing GW1 to put up very impressive numbers in GW2 and they'll need to continue that form against the Amirians who have won 2 from 2.
Both teams look like they have plenty of differentials at the back who could offer them clean sheet bonuses. Can the likes of City, United and Chelsea deliver the desired shutouts?
In midfield, Augment FC have 2 penalty takers in Odegaard and Enzo to Amirians 1 in Salah and it then comes down to a head to head between 2 attacking midfielders in Bailey and Mitoma who have both shown very good form so far this season. For Leon Bailey, it really becomes a question of how long he can stay fit as to whether he'll gain the popularity in FPL that Mitoma is at this time.
Upfront there are also plenty of form players. Both Brighton forwards will be battling for minutes but despite that, they have made contributions when on the pitch. Antonio was excellent last week and travelling to Brighton, is likely to get a chance or 2, while Yohann Wissa has scored 2 in 2 for Brentford who host Palace.

.It was indees a tough battle between managers. With Haaland firinf blank my team struggled and only beat the global average by a few points, lucky for me my opponent in Hive h2h was also having the same fortune.
I'm sticking to Haaland (as captain) , hopefully he will score 3 this week 🤣
Playing it safe 😀
