Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Happy New Year, and this will be my first post for 2025, so without further delay let's get started. Three days ago I wrote about the Dani Olmo registration problem FC Barcelona is having with Laliga. I explained how frustrating it was and how there was progress in making the registration happen before the 1st of January 2025. Yesterday was a whole new saga after Dani Olmo's registration was rejected again by the court, and this brought a lot of uncertainty about Barcelona completing the registration before midnight this morning.

La Liga denied Barcelona the chance of registering Dani Olmo up until the last minute, even with all the documents FC Barcelona presented to the La Liga official concerning their finances. Barcelona had to activate another level which saw the club selling out its VIP spot in the new Spotify Camp nou stadium, which simply means Barcelona will have no access to control what happens in the VIP section of the Spotify camp. Barcelona sold that right for 100 million euros, and even with that deal, it was not enough for Laliga to agree to the registration of Dani Olmo as they said Barcelona had not shown verification of the deal.

The clock ticked to the final seconds of 2024 and up till that moment Barcelona didn't approve the registration of Dani Olmo which automatically means Dani Olmo is now a free agent and is entitled to all the money he is supposed to receive at the duration of his five-year contract with the club to get his wages all at once as he is a free agent. It was sad to follow this news into the new year, and I am disappointed with Barcelona President Laporta and the rest of the board because this happened under their noses, and they could not do anything about it.

Dani Olmo's failed registration has made me realize that there are still a lot of problems happening at the club, and the club has not returned to the 1:1 rule, which Laporta claims to be true. I am beginning to question how Laporta is running the club because it seems he has just been selling fairytales to Barcelona fans all the while and with this fallout with registering Dani Olmo how does the club now convince players to sign up when they can be at risk not getting signed with the current situation at the club because this is a bad look for the club in general.

Dani Olmo has expressed a desire that he only wants to play for Barcelona, according to his agent, and he is not looking to negotiate with any other clubs this January. There is still news coming out. Barcelona still has until January 2 to register Dani Olmo, but it is yet to be confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, so for now, it will be debunked. The club has yet to release a statement, but it should drop soon to clear the air. From here on, nobody knows what will happen with Dani Olmo, but I will be looking out for any news dropped by Fabrizio Romano and the club.

So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day ahead. Once again happy new year.
