Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It's the last day of the Champions League league phase as 22 teams will push to make the remaining six spots on the top eight of the league table and the remaining spot for a chance to be in the playoffs. It is going to be a crazy ride tonight, and by the time this post gets posted, all the matches should have already kicked off as all the teams battle it all out on the field. FC Barcelona are currently hosting Atalanta at home in their last match of the UCL, and although Barcelona has secured their spot in the top eight, I still think they should win this match tonight.

According to sources, if Barcelona beat Atalanta, they would get 50 million euros from UEFA, which is a fair reward that could go a long way in ensuring Rashford comes on loan to the club this winter On the Rashford case according to a reliable source Manchester United wants the total coverage of Rashford wages by the club's who are interested in the loan deal which I am sure it's not what Barcelona wants as they have been pushing to reduce their wage bill over the past three seasons since Laliga has put a major wage bill limit on the club.

Barcelona still has approximately two deals to find a solution to bring Rashford to the club this summer and if they fail to achieve it then the Rashford to Barcelona train will end as the club is not seeing the Englishman as a long term replacement for the left-wing position. Back to the game this evening Hansi Flick made a huge statement with the starting lineup as yet again Inaki Pena is put on the bench as Szczesny starts for the third consecutively time in a row and I am not bothered about that although Szczesny has made some horrible mistakes in recent matches, but it was what many Barcelona fans wanted when he was sidelined for a long time.

Inaki Pena will definitely get more game time soon, but for now, Hansi Flick seems to prefer the Polish keeper, and we will see how that goes tonight against Atalanta. Frenkie De Jong also made the starting lineup, which is nice to see once again as the Dutchman has solely gotten his confidence back on the pitch. Frenkie De Jong was given a standing ovation over the weekend when Barcelona trashed Valencia 7-1 at home. It is clear to save the fans bitterness towards him has died down because the hate Frenkie De Jong received for the past two months was harsh but it nice to see the fans appreciated him once again and hopefully he renews his contract.

It will be an incredible end to matchday eight, and I am in for all the thrillers that will happen tonight. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good evening.
