Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. What a match it was between Benfica and FC Barcelona on day seven of the Uefa Champions League. First of all, I skipped the game because I was doing a little revision for my exam the next day so I decided to just sit this game out and just check life scores for updates on the scoreline and now I am pained for missing the match because it was incredible according to multiple sources on X and even after I watch the highlights it confirmed that the match was indeed magnificent.

FC Barcelona's target was to head to Lisbon away from home and get all three points from Benfica to cement their place in the top 8 for the round of sixteen in the Uefa Champions League this season. Before the start of the match, I was confident that Barcelona would win the match and even told my neighbours I would be sitting out the game not just because of my exam the next day, but also because I was convinced Barcelona would do well in the Champions League as they have gone on to win five matches after their first lost to Monaco at the start of the Champions League campaign.

The match against Monaco was a handicap match due to one Barcelona player getting a red card at the early start of the match and I will keep saying this,, if Barcelona had played with the full 11 men on the pitch, Hansi Flick and the team would have won that match without a doubt, but the deed has been done and it already past their time as Barcelona are sitting pretty on the second place of the UCL table as Liverpool takes the first spot using three points to lead the Catalan side.

Szczesny made two errors in the match on Tuesday which cost Barcelona two goals in the early hours of the match. The errors in the match from Barcelona players were horrendous and unacceptable to the players because if it was in the knockout stage of the finals, those mistakes could prove to be costly in the end. Szczesny has made bad decisions, which have almost cost the team different times, and I am starting to think that Inaki Pena should be regularly used in important matches for now.

Pedri, Raphinha and Lewandoski were all outstanding on Tuesday night, and I will be writing a special post on Pedri because he truly is the best midfielder in the world, and I still find it strange that Pedri is put in an argument about who is the better midfielder between both players. Pedri was in absolute class against Benfica and was one of the main key players who pushed for the win against Benfica. FC Barcelona ended the match 5-4 with a goal scored by Raphinha in extra time to win the match as he once again showed class on the pitch.

It will be interesting to see how this champion league goes in the coming months, so guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
