Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It's matchday for FC Barcelona as they will be facing Real Sociedad at home this evening in matchday 26 of Laliga Santander this season. It is an important match for FC Barcelona to take all three points to move back on the league table and also gain a three-point advantage over Real Madrid. This match is going to be an intense game as both sides will be looking to cancel each other out for the important three points.
This will be the second time FC Barcelona will be facing Real Sociedad this season. The first time the two sides met was at Real Sociedad's home stadium last year when they held Barcelona to a draw in that fixture. Barcelona was going through a bad run in Laliga that period, and Real Sociedad made sure to be a stomping block for the Catalan giant title run. This evening's match will be one to watch as Barcelona must take this match like they are playing in a final and avoid any form of slip-up because Real Sociedad could do a lot of damage when given the opportunity.
The starting lineup should be realised in an hour, and I am eager to see how Hansi Flick wants to set his side up, as there have been rumours of a possible rotation because of the round of sixteen first-leg clash against Benfica this week. The starting lineup should be different today, and I hope the players who get to start this match give their all on the pitch to secure the big three points. Real Sociedad should not look less like a team as they can be very challenging at times for some teams.
Real Sociedad holds one of the best DMs in the world, which is Zubimendi and talented young player Kubo. These two could cause a lot of problems for Barcelona this evening, but I trust Hansi and his boys to put up a solid performance this evening. This match won't be an easy one for both teams, but I am sure FC Barcelona will put up a better performance with good results. It’s going to be bad if Barcelona can't capture this opportunity to bring good results on their own side.
Lewandoski would probably start this evening, seeing that he didn't start in the last match, and for the 100th time, Lewandoski should take his chances in front of goal because every chance on goal in this match should be scored.
