Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. There are more words that I can use for this FC Barcelona current squad because it has been incredible each match week both in the league and Europe competition. Hansi Flick has done something that most Barcelona fans would not believe. If you told them, the team would be as good as this season. Today, I want to look at the midfield area of FC Barcelona, which has also been crucial for the team's victory this season.

FC Barcelona has these players available in the midfield: Frenkie De Jong, Pedri, Marc Casado, Fermin Lopez, Pablo Torre, Gavi, Dani Olmo, and one player who is out of the season due to injury, Marc Bernal. There is no doubt that these players have incredible qualities, and all deserve to be played on the field, but even with these qualities, they will also be the best out of the beat, and that is the truth.

The first player I want to look at is Dani Olmo and I can't believe I am writing this, but I was against Deco signing Dani Olmo last summer because I thought there was no need to bring in Olmo when the squad needed a DM, and not another midfielder, and I am glad Dani Olmo has proved me wrong because he has been massive for Barcelona this season. Dano just got his first start since coming back from injury and he already started scoring goals again.

Dani Olmo got a brace against Espanyol in last weekend's fixtures as Barcelona went on to beat their city rival 3-1 to increase their lead on the table to nine points. Deco was right in letting Gundogan leave for free last summer, which many people questioned, and I have to say all Barcelona fans have to give Deco his pros for making that bold decision. Dani Olmo is already the signing of the summer for me and I have no doubt he will keep this form up, but my only problem is his fitness because he is prone to injuries, I just hope Barcelona's medical team can find ways to manage Dani Olmo so we can keep seeing the best of him. On the field.

Another impressive midfielder who has been incredible for Barcelona this season is Marc Casado. Honestly, I don't know how La Masia keeps bringing out talented players from the academy because what Casado has been doing this season so far is incredible. The surprising thing is that Marc Casado is initially a backup for Marc Bernal who picked up an ACL injury earlier this season. If Casado was a backup to Bernal, then we believe Marc Bernal would be more impressive than Marc Casado.

Marc Casado has already stamped his name on the starting list and it showed in last weekend's match against Espanyol as the match changed when Casado was subbed out of the field. It is just ironic that the DM role that seemed to be a problem has already been solved and the tools were in La Masia while Barcelona was searching outside for a proper DM. Hansi Flick came in and worked with the tools he had, and that is what an elite manager does. No offense to Xavi. He was lying about the foundation, but it was not clicking for the Barcelona legend last season.

Pedri has been incredible since the day he stepped foot into Barcelona and I still see no reason why Pedri should be compared to Bellingham when it clearly shows Pedri is a better player. Pedri brings that calmness into the midfield and he reads and also controls the game. The Spanish midfielder has already earned a place in Hansi Flick's starting lineup without a doubt, and we will keep on seeing the best of Pedri for years to come. So, guys, this is where I stop for now, but I am still around because there will be a part 2. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
