Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. FC Barcelona's supporting director, Deco, is already making waves in the upcoming summer transfer window to sign a new player into the club. About a month ago I wrote a post about FC Barcelona's possible target for the left-wing position at the club as the club doesn't see a long-term fixture anymore with Ansu Fati who has been left out of matches for the past four months now this season and I feel sad for the youngster that he is not seen anymore as an important player for the club

In the post I made a month ago I highlighted that Deco's main targets for the left-wing position are Luis Diaz, Nico Williams and Rafael Leao are the names on Deco's list but this past few weeks Luis Diaz has been on top of the list as multiple reports say that Liverpool are open to selling Luis Diaz for a fee of 75 millions euros and Deco is interested in seeing this deal happen in the summer. Luis Diaz is a good player, and I would love to see him at the club next season, but that asking price from Liverpool is a lot, and I don't think the club should be spending that much on Diaz.

It's like the club has learnt nothing from their past experience with Griezmann, Dembele, Coutinho and Malcolm. Liverpool bought the Colombian for 45 million euros in 2022, and I understand they won't make a profit as every club would do if an offer comes for their player. 50-55 million is a decent price for Luis Diaz, which I think Deco should be negotiating with Liverpool because I am sure there would be add-ons in the deal, like if Diaz wins the Laliga title or Champions League, a certain percentage must be given to Liverpool.

The rumours flying around about the fee asked by Liverpool for Diaz although it has not been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano have scored a reaction among Barcelona fans as many see it as a waste of money and want the club to go rather for Nico Williams and it seems the Leao chant has dropped because I am not seeing any rumours about the Portuguese linked with Barcelona. It is going to be a long summer window, and as it stands, I am still sceptical about Barcelona's summer window with these rumours in the media.

Barcelona still want to get a right back in the summer as well to give Kounde an extra hand. Kounde has been incredible in the RB position even though it is not his natural position on the pitch. I may not be an expert, but with the resources Barcelona has, I don't think getting a new RB is an issue, as Hector Fort should be able to play in that position in important matches. Hansi Flick has rarely used Hector Fort this season, and in some of the matches Hector has played, he was decent on the pitch, but anyway, the Deco and Hansi Flick know best, and let's see what happens in the summer window.

So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
