Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Today, I just want to write about FC Barcelona's youngest defender, Pau Cubarsi, who has been incredible since he was integrated into the first team last season. Pau Cubarsi got into the first team under Xavi at the age of seventeen, and most people said Xavi was crazy in letting a young player of that age play regular minutes for a top club like Barcelona. The truth is FC Barcelona gives opportunities to its academy players, which has contributed to its success throughout its establishment as a football club.

It's from La Masia we have players like Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Puyol, Pique, the greatest player to walk the pitch Messi and now we are seeing players like Lamine Yamal, Cubarsi, Marc Bernal, Dani Olmo, Balde, Casado and others in this present generation doing incredibly well for the club and they are still young players who are yet to cross 22 years which is insane. La Masia is the best academy in the world when it comes to producing talented footballers. Without a doubt, no other academy comes close to what La Masia has been doing for years.

The truth is most Barcelona fans will be lying to themselves if they don't give Xavi credit for bringing Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal into the first team because he saw the raw talent in them and knowing how La Masia works since he was once there gave him full confidence to integrate them into the first team, especially in Pau Cubarsi case because honestly, you can hardly find a club that will give minutes in the first team to a 17-year-old defender. Pau Cubarsi has been incredible for Barcelona from his debut season last year to this current season.

There were doubts about his capability and he proved every doubter wrong. They said he wouldn't be able to hold Victor Osimhen; he did that; they said he wouldn't be able to stop Kylian Mbappe. He did that three times since they faced off against each other. Pau Cubarsi has all the qualities a top defender needs to possess in a team. The youngster's long pass skill is just top quality and the best I have seen from a defender so far in any league. There is no doubt that the Best Youngsters award will be given to Pau Cubarsi in the Ballon d'Or ceremony this year as he is the front favourite for that award.

It will be an icing on the cake if Barcelona wins the Spanish League, Champions League and Copa Del Rey this season, and we will see the young defender probably in the top twenty or, if possible, the top ten list of the Ballon d'Or ranking for the award. Pau Cubarsi has stamped his spot on the starting lineup of the first team, and with his contract extension, we will be seeing the young defender for many years at the club. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
