Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The Champions Playoff came to an end when Manchester City played away from home against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League playoffs, which took place on Wednesday night. It was the biggest fixture in the UCL playoffs as both clubs are top in Europe. This fixture had different predictions, and mine was for Manchester City to beat Madrid and head to the round of sixteen, but it was clear Manchester City's horrible run since Rodri's injury is still quite functioning within the squad.

Manchester City were active during the January transfer window as they got new players into the team. One of the signings that surprised me was Nico González moving from FC Porto to Manchester City on deadline day. Nico González was a former FC Barcelona player and also a La Masia graduate who broke into the first team under Xavi Hernandez. Nico was seen to be the long-time replacement for Sergio Busquets but it didn't go as planned as Nico González was sent on loan to Valencia to get more playing time at the club.

After Nico González loan spell at Valencia, he was still not properly used by Xavi, which made the option for Porto to buy the player easy, but Barcelona made sure to put some per cent on future sales on the deal with Porto. Pep Guardiola already did his check-up on the Spanish midfielder and was satisfied with Nico González. Manchester City brought new signings, which are already making an impact in the league and for the team, but there is still a lot Pep Guardiola needs to do because that team is average.

Real Madrid came into the match strong as they got a goal early in the 3rd minute of the first half, and who else but Kylian Mbappe to score the opening against Manchester City? Mbappe has been incredible this past week with the team, and it clearly shows that he is now comfortable within the dressing room and on the pitch. Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick against Manchester City on the biggest night of the competition, and that is why never write off a player because of their recent form. Now, just take a look at how Mbappe is already making the team his own.

Manchester City were trash and I can't believe on the biggest night they played like a team without direction because I don't understand what Pep and his boys are doing this season, and now I doubt they will even win the EPL title with their form of playing on the pitch they are not looking like title contenders. Real Madrid will play in the round of sixteen and we await for the official draw to be announced soon. It is going to be a crazy ride in the round of sixteen, and I am ready for it all to happen soon. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend ahead
