Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The Laliga Santander title race just got a whole lot more interesting this night as Real Madrid suffered a loss to Real Betis. It was a match that Real Madrid needed to win to keep their points on a level with Barcelona, and they hope Barcelona drops points against Real Sociedad tomorrow evening when both sides go head to head. Real Betis has been in incredible form lately in all competitions they are currently participating in this season.
Since the signing of Anthony Real Betis, the attack has been a boost in recent matches as Anthony has been crucial for his side in recent matches since he arrived at the club. There have been talks about Anthony's recent form at Betis because he was not this good when he was in the Premier League with Manchester United; some football fans say Laliga is a farmers league because Anthony couldn't play, while some say Manchester United is the cause of most of all the players decline in the league.
Rashford, who is at Aston Villa, has been doing well since he joined the club on loan. Manchester United is not a serious club, true be told, and I have to say the mentality in that club is low because how can these two players who Manchester United fans believe to be finished are doing well outside the club? It just doesn't seem right. There are a lot of things that need to be done within that club, but that is a tale for another day. Back to Real Madrid's clash away from home against Betis was one crazy match that ended 2-1 as Real Betis took all three points from that match.
Real Madrid has now dropped to third place on the Laliga table as Atletico Madrid got their win over Athletic Club to move to the top of the table, which could change tomorrow if Barcelona wins their match against Real Sociedad tomorrow. Real Madrid fumbled these past months, and I can't believe they fumbled a 10-point gap over Barcelona to end up being level on points with Spanish rivals. It is now up to Hansi Flick and the boys to make sure they seal a win tomorrow evening to be three points ahead of Real Madrid on the league table.
Atletico Madrid shouldn't be taken lightly as well because they have been impressive this season. Everyone is focused on the power struggle between Real Madrid and Barcelona, but Atletico Madrid is a team that needs to be watched as well this season. They got the best of Barcelona in December, and this month, they will be facing the Catalan giant in a league. There are reports that Hansi Flick wants to rotate the squad for tomorrow's match to give his key players rest ahead to the first leg of the UCL round of sixteen.
