Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. There has been a new development between Real Madrid and the referee who officiated their last Laliga match. Jose Luis Munuera has been the talk of the week because he sent Jude Bellingham off the pitch for disrespecting him with a swear word. Munuera has been the talk of social media and popular sports channels for the call he made on Bellingham, but the decision he made has caused a lot of upset within Laliga as Real Madrid fans are now sending the referee death threats and also harassing his family.
Munuera has been suspended by the RFEF as he will not be officiating any match in Laliga as well as in European competition. It was shocking to me this decision was taken by the RFEF so I went deeper to find out more about the issue and confirmed that RFEF is suspending Munuera because he has some businesses with a company linked to Atletico Madrid which is the reason the RFEF is suspending the referee as more investigation is still going on as the RFEF are not done evaluating Munuera. It is a shame that Real Madrid made a huge fuss when the referee was in his right to make that decision.
The video clip shows Bellingham saying swear words, and immediately, as the referee called him back to attention, he apologised. How is the referee not in the right in this situation? It is low from Real Madrid fans going after Munuera's family, especially his 80-year-old father, which is unacceptable. If you think these actions by Real Madrid have not done damage then you are wrong because this has just put pressure on the referees when they want to officiate any Real Madrid match as fear for even calling out bad behaviour for any Real Madrid player will be on the referees head which will disrupt the officiating of a match.
Munuera has come out to say he is displeased with the recent attacks he is getting on his private social media account, which has made him lock the comments to all his posts on all his social media accounts. This is unfair to the referee, and I have said many times that Real Madrid plays a dirty game, and they are winning right before our very eyes. There is still not an update on the petition Javier Tebas is sending out to the RFEF to sanction Real Madrid because it's about time that sanction is implemented.
It's now reported that Munuera is under high security, which is good news to hear because his safety is important now because as death threats are flying around, the security agencies should keep a close eye on Munuera. It's going to be a long couple of weeks before this issue settles, and I just hope nothing bad happens to Munuera and his family during this time. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
